As our jeep isnt completely ok, we decided not to go abroad but doing a nice and easy road trip through the Netherlands.
The base is the Trans Europe Trail for enduro bikes.
But not everything is suitable for 4x4 rigs and trailers.
So after this part and all other parts we will refine it into a route suitable for 4x4 rigs.
As we drove the south from west to east, and a part down from north to near our home it is now time to drive the track up north.
We started a bit up north as we did that part and are now in an easy pase 5 days on the road.
We didnt drive the TET every day as we are on a holiday. So I am guessing that the whole route from the west to the south and partly down agajn can be done in a week when we drive every day.
That will be the next thing we will do.
But I will ad more tracks to it so we go further sourh as we turn from the northest point.

The Netherlands is one of the smallest countries in the world with a very densed population.
And still there is so much beauty and nature to see.

Well here is an impression of our trip so far.

Today some historical information.
The "founder" of our social and health care sustem was a general and congress man about 200 years ago.
He invented the make society and helped in a way 80.000 people from poor city areas after the Napoleon era to rural areas near frederiksoord.
There founded colonies which provided the people with housing, scholing, health care and work.
Wr visited this area and historical place.
Very interesting and a beautiful area.

If had to guess the little bridge with the house is in the Netherlands, I would have failed! It looks so 'exotic' for the Netherlands, I wonder where it is.

Nice photos, thanks for posting!

Great post about a fascinating place, thanks for sharing!

I still want to visit Frederiksoord. I've been to the associated place Veenhuizen a couple of times.

I've even found some overlanding worthy roads in that area I would like to explore next time I go there.
