I basically do the same thing except for we have a dutch oven large frying pan and small frying pan so I just wrap them in plastic and put them in a tote

The dry ice is so much colder then standard and sea ice, i had an old school coleman ice chest with standard ice frozen solid for 4 days in 90°weather a few years ago
so on our recent camping trip my better half admitted that I was right! she said that the style camping and trips we take a micro camper be best for us, I have been looking at the Runaway Camps for some time now. I believe they will be our best option for two reasons
1.) price
2.) adaptability...
when we go out in the warmer months I like to get dry ice for our cooler, layer the cooler... dry ice on the bottom, ice on top the dry ice(note the regular ice will freeze solid) place your food stuff then more ice on top
