What kind of waterproof storage boxes do you use? I've been searching for a storage solution. It doesn't have to be waterproof, just able to be secured with a lock.
The problem I have with most roll-up style covers is that they take up a lot of room when rolled up, whether they roll up on top or underneath. If it's the latter, then you permanently lose the space because of the housing unit that it rolls into. Just something extra to think about, if it...
I've heard a lot of good things about them. I've heard they're about to release a new version without the diamond plate design, but that's likely on hold due to the pandemic and the related shut downs. I'm curious as to what it is and if there's any differences other than a design change.
I'm a backpacker as well and also in the process of slowly setting up my truck for overlanding. My plan is to get a bed cover (currently looking at the Diamondback bed covers) and then a rail system (currently looking at the KB Voodoo rail system) and put a roof top tent on that. A bed cover has...
Thanks for the replies. Right now I'm just trying to figure out the storage solution. A drawer system isn't planned for the short term. However, I did go and looked at the Decked boxes (thanks for the mention of Decked, @PincheOso) and that may be a good storage solution.
Do you have any pictures or could you elaborate more on this t-slot? I have tie down points in the truck bed and I'm probably going to pick up the slider rail that Ram makes for it (mount holes are already in the bed), giving me more tie down points.
I'm looking for ideas on how to put together a modular setup for my truck. I could build a customized drawer system that I can remove when not in use, but that's not overly practical. Another option is to keep equipment in storage boxes and just use the tailgate for things like cooking or other...

Thanks for the suggestions. I should have specified that I was open to bolt-to-frame rock sliders, I just didn't want to weld something onto the frame. That said, I've been looking at the White Knuckle Off-Road rock sliders and they look pretty nice. I've been doing a little research on them and...
I'm in search of running boards for my 2020 Ram crew cab. I've been searching the forums and Google and while there are plenty out there, I'd like to know if there's a consensus as to a preferred brand or style. I'm looking for 4", all black running boards. Solid metal is preferred over end...
I'm not an expert in video, but it's something I've been trying to learn about since I want to do a little video work for myself as well. For starters, here are two channels that are from people in the overlanding community who also shoot video, and one who is a photographer/videographer who...
Thanks for the input. The KB Voodoo system seems to be the only one I've found so far that meets my requirements of being removable and not having to drill into the bed or the bed cover. Ideally I'd remove the rack unless I actually need it, but that means I need the bed cover to remain intact...
Thanks for the reply. Are you with KB Voodoo or are you just a fan of theirs? Either way, I mentioned the gap issue because of a video I was watching (linked below; 14:30-15:05 is the relevant part) that showed that there was a gap created near the front of the bed. The video is from September...
It looks like KB VooDoo has rails that mount under bed covers without drilling or screwing into the bed cover or bed. They have a recommended bed cover list and Diamondback is on it. This may be an option that meets my criteria, though I'd be concerned about what kind of gap the bracket from the...
Diamondback does offer a form of rails but they, like others, have to be drilled into the cover. I don't want permanent rails, but I also realize I'm asking for a lot. I did find one system that has integrated slides that you can mount rails onto, but the problem with the bed cover is that it's...
Now that I have my new truck, I'm going to be installing a bed cover on it at some point. Most likely it's going to be a Diamondback SE because it's tough and it's easy to remove if I need to use the whole bed for something. I'm looking for a rail system that I can mount on top of that that is...
Thank you, I appreciate the effort. In the end I decided the build out of the Frontier wasn’t worth it so I purchased a new full size truck and will decide the best option from there. Lots of potential so I’m looking forward to exploring the different ways to do this.
