Imagine that, a positive story about hi lifts on the hi lift website.. There's no bias there at all... I'm sure for some a hi lift has uses, but I've seen too many injuries or close calls to consider a hi lift a necessary piece of equipment.
I have owned them before but hate them. I do not own one now, nor will I ever. Imho they are an ancient technology that really does no good anymore. There are easoer, safer ways to change a tire offroad.. Or any situation..
One of the poles that extends the awning outward failed. The awning was deployed, and a very slight gust came up and snapped the pole. @Truckerbizz and @O.Dfj. were there.. It was pretty comical, the slight breeze that snapped the pole. In all honesty, if I had it to do over again I probably...
There are no problems with running a 2wd. You just need to know your limitations and carry plenty of recovery gear. You would be surprised where a 2wd will go. Add a rear locker and it'll really liven it up. I have a 2004 Dodge myself.. But mine is a 2500 with a Cummins.. It's a never ending...
I am just getting back to this. I have an upgraded awning structure as I had a failure of my original awning stucture. I have to find time to put the awning fabric over the new structure and put it back on the truck. Hopefully this weekend.
That's what happens when you run a great community of like minded people, and the people spread the word. This is awesome. I know I really enjoy it here. Lately I haven't had as much time to hang out here, but I am hoping to get more time shortly. Thanks for creating this awesome place...
Im a big fan of my Tembo Tusk Skottle. I paid around $200 for the skottle, single burner, lid, and carrying bag for skottle and legs. It was a special at Overland Expo a couple of years ago. I love it!
looks like late August is winning. If that's when it happens I won't be able to make it, as I'm moving the family up from so cal that weekend... but have a blast!
Agreed. I get tired of seeing people try to keep up with the fads. I do what works for me, and what works for me may not work for anyone else.. But who cares?
I own an rtt. I've owned a ground tent in the past. They have their pros and cons. For me, I generally explore and they go camp. In all honesty it takes me less than 10 minutes to break down my rtt if I want to go explore, and I own the biggest rtt that cvt makes. There are definite...
They aren't expensive or high dollar but I love LA police gear pants. They are durable and inexpensive. Its all I wear when I'm not in my work uniform.
