Thanks! I am working on leveling options next. Then sliders. Hoping to find some decent 4th of July sales.

    Nature Photos

Here is a couple shots I took while out today with another OB member. We had an awesome day exploring and the scenery was fantastic. I, like an idiot, forgot my 'real' camera, so these are from my phone.

Bummer that it failed, but at least the upgrade is nice!

    My Ranger Build

A huge shoutout to @trail_runn4r for coming to my place and helping me with the ARB skid plates and Rough Country differential skid plate. Took about 3 hours from start to finish. Here are my observations: The ARB kit is stout. It will definitely protect my truck underbelly. ARB's instructions...

    My Ranger Build

I installed the Midland MXT275 today. It wasn't hard, but took a lot of time. For anyone who is looking to run wires, I recommend poking a hole through the drain plug in the driver or passenger footwell. I tried the firewall, but I never could get it. This is the passenger foot well, and...

What mileage did you purchase your rig?

I bought the Ranger with 4 miles on it. Currently have ~2800. Obviously, no issues yet (I don't expect to have any either). So far, I've done about 50 miles offroad. I was looking at 4rd gen 4runners, but they cost an arm and a leg and would need a boatload of money to be reliable again...

    GMRS installation

That's good to know. I was actually worried about driving those screws into the hood, but it sounds like that's the way to go. Thanks for the 'how-to'! You're a couple hours from me, but maybe you'd be interested in lending a hand with the install (no pressure, I don't want to do my job when...

    GMRS installation

I got the kit that is the ghost antenna in it. The price is really good for all the pieces that come with it. I’ll post up when I open it.

    GMRS installation

I have the magnet mount that came with the kit and this hood mount. I am not sure yet. I will update when installed.

    GMRS installation

That’s what I wanted to know. Thanks!

    GMRS installation

I picked up the MXT275 kit for my Ranger. I will be installing it sometime next week (hopefully). For power, the manual says to run it to a fuse. I like that idea, because I can run it inside the cab and not have to worry about breaking through the firewall. That being said, if direct to the...

Pictures of old dilapidated buildings please

Both these images were taken off Blue Ridge Parkway a couple weeks ago.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

You could buy a fully kitted out Earth Roamer with that. On a side note, we just found out that anyone who buys a house with our builder has to agree that the price can jump $10,000 if cost of materials goes up. If the cost goes up $10,001, then the buyer has the option to back out penalty...
