That's what I was doing wrong. I followed your directions and it worked. I had to enable Apple Maps in the settings, instead of Google because I don't have GMaps. I was able to get directions to my test point. Thanks!
I am talking about guided. Years ago, when I rode with a motorcycle group, I got the nickname 'U-Turn'. I'm not so good with directions. Anything I can do to help myself, I will.
I am on the free version right now. I'm trying to decide if premium is worth it.
Good evening - I have tried using GAIA to navigate to the trail. I'll be honest, it doesn't seem to work well for me... I could be the problem though...
What is everyone using to navigate to the trail head? If GAIA, what am I doing wrong? (really, what are you doing right?). The videos I have...
I also finally got a phone mount that I like. It's the same arm from Bullet Point Solutions as the MXT, but with the 1" ball adapter and a Quadlock mount and case.
I installed my Built Right Industries bed side racks. They are solid. More mounts than I thought, which is good. I didn't have instructions, so it took an hour including looking up the instructions.
The only issue I have is that I don't have mid tie downs and Built Right didn't supply any...
You're right. It would take work, but it's a good thing to have. I know that it is not perfect. The wife and I have talked about getting the Garmin InReach Mini or similar Spot device. That will happen too. I also believe in having as many choices as is reasonable.
This question kept me up at night. Both are better, but for different reasons. I went GMRS because the groups here use GMRS. I will eventually add a HAM for emergency call outs on solo trips (probability of longer reach). That being said, the best is the one that people are on. If you have...
I *finally* finished my MXT275 radio installation. I installed the Built Right Industries Dash Plate, backwards according to the instructions.
I didn't like Built Right's mounting solutions though, as it was basically RAM mounts. Enter Bullet Point Mounting Solutions. I used their two hole...
I did get the radio installed. I wired it directly to the battery and was able to test it out. It worked flawlessly. Thank you for the recommendations. I have pictures in my build thread, but I am going to take some better pictures (a bit more detailed) and post them here. The hardest part...
I named mine Hermes. Greek god of travel. Since I bought the truck to explore, it seemed fitting. I was going to go with Odin, because it's BA, but that's what Expedition Overland named one of their rigs.
