That makes sense, thanks for the feedback. I’ve just emailed icon about the traditional seals and for a quote on adding reservoirs. We’ll see if they offer something when they reply.
How often do you have to rebuild your coilovers?
Specifically 2.5 series King, Fox, Icon Dynamics etc., standard or extended travel.
Does having secondary reservoirs extend the life between rebuilds?
I have Icon Dynamics 2.5 Standard travel coilovers and I’m considering adding reservoirs...
Wow... I think I may have just figured out the problem, unfortunately. I just noticed while looking under the hood, that the thermostat they put in my truck IS NOT an oem part. It’s some cheap crap I found on on amazon! My guess is it’s failing, not allowing coolant back into the motor/system...
Alright... thought everything was going good, this weeks trips to work and back had no overflowing but it has been cool weather.
Today we drove to Huntington Beach and when we got there, the reservoir was full to the top but not spilling over. When we got home however, it had overflowed once...
That makes sense and is solid advice. I’ll probably go with the bottle jack for now, I usually go with groups or friends with high lift jacks so when/if I eventuality need a one, I can borrow one, then buy one before the next trip lol. I’m ordering the suggested bottle jack attachment...
Thanks for that advice!
My mechanic assured me there is no head gasket failure as they did 3 different test to check and they do have state of the art diagnostic equipment.
Don't know If you can tell from pics but I replaced the radiator cap with an oem TRD 1.3 bar. The factory cap is 1.1 bar...
I’ve had this Nixon for about 10 years now and it’s a champ! I wear it everyday all day. I have a few other watches, g-shock, citizen etc but this Nixon is my ol faithful. It’s taken a BEATING as you can see but keeps ticking. My favorite features are the titanium body (very light weight for...
Love my ARB CKMA24 on board. Super handy! For larger tires than 33’s the dual compressor is more capable. As for mounts, check out Rago Fabrications options. They also make a system called the “wifey air” system. Using a manifold you can air up all 4 tires at the same time. So your wifey doesn’t...
I have a similar one and I’ll never go without one again. I’ve used it so many times it’s payed for itself tenfold!
Luckily I’ve never had to use it on my optima yellow top in my 4runner, but I’ve used it on many friends vehicles & like a hundred times on my dads H2 Hummer:tearsofjoy:
Going to clean my engine bay this weekend. Gotta de-gunk where the valve cover gasket was leaking. Not looking forward to it but it’s always worth it in the end!
