Thanks!
Your JT looks good! I’d like to see a closer pic of the bumper set up. Definitely have dragged a$$ on a trail or 2. Most bumpers I have seen don’t give much extra clearance.
I’m concentrating on the camping setup right now. Perhaps a lift, 35s, bumpers and winch in the future.
My rig’s name is Eventyr. It means adventure in Norwegian. My eventual goal is to do decals with a Norwegian/Viking theme. So in keeping with that theme, my dashboard co-pilot is a LEGO Thor. My son - and navigator (he’s 7 now) - has been into LEGOs for years.
My bed power build:
I wanted to be able to run my Softopper canopy lights, fridge, and some other accessories off a the battery in the bed of my Gladiator. After researching some options, I chose to start with the Eight13 Fabrication & Design Bed Side Compressor Enclosure, Large to house the 6...
I've seen some videos and it looks like fun!
Anyone else interested in going? It's a 5.5 hour ride from Charlotte, NC so definitely a weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) trip for me.
I’m setting up my ‘21 Gladiator for camping inside the bed. Check out TrailRecon YouTube channel. Brad has lots of great videos with other peoples setups so you can see what they have come up with - from ground tents and plastic bags to cabinets and RTTs. It all depends on your budget, time, and...
I hit Old 105 a few weekends ago. Lots of good campsites along the “trail” - more like a gravel road. Not at all difficult. Forest Road 106 offers a little more rough road, but is not difficult either. I’d like to go back when the weather is clear to stop and see the views.
Glad to see precautions being taken. Here in the states - particularly the South East - it seems no one is taking Covid seriously at all. More often than not I’m the only one wearing a mask - indoors or out.
Be safe and have a great holiday!
Sounds good! I’ve been trying to get a meetup group going on the Jeep Gladiator forum page with little interest.
Keep in touch and we can make a plan for January.
Found this sweet JK at the jobsite I was visiting last week. I didn't get the opportunity to meet the owner. OB1496
I will be getting my membership in the New Year!
Rough Country 45L Fridge.
We were using a small Coleman cooler, but the last few trips we were barely able to put any ice in with all the food for 3 people x2 nights. I was able to justify the fridge because it cost as much as a Yeti or Rtic in the same size - but no ice needed. I will be...
I have an Inreach Mini with the basic $11.99 plan. I use it send location and messages to my wife when I travel by myself or with our son. The phone app works well for mapping waypoints and sending text messages. I like how small it is. I can clip it to my vest or backpack when I go fly fishing.
