Thanks! Great to hear. I will check out your build. You will love it when you get it done. Here is the thing I like , it is totally customized to what you want. If you don't like it there is only one person to blame. lol
I have a few tweaks that I will do in the future. Adding a place...
Thanks! Yeah it is all done and I have been using it! Grand total spent one month in it so far (various trips) and getting ready to spend 10 days in the elk woods!
Good luck on your build. The nice thing about it from a build perspective is that it is a small space. So when you make progress...
Roughed in the front shelves. More goodies on the way like a Maxfan and got my sliders for the fridge slide. Going to focus on the sleeping area first and then move back to the galley. Primer is going on the walls and floor today. Hopefully color on the walls (two side walls) before the week...
I agree.!
Yesterday's progress is that I have electricity in, a couple of USB ports, light, wired to the fridge and got heat in. I have a propex heater in a craftsman tool box that I use for heat.
Slowly but surely.
Well we are beginning our build on a 5x10 cargo trailer. We had been shopping on Craigslist and other spots trying to find a 6x10 trailer when we found this one. While it is a 5x10 because of the price and the fact that someone had already done some of the things we were going to do it was...
Today I finished the composting toilet project and added it to the kit that goes in the back.
Last year we did a DIY compositing toilet as a "proof of concept" to see if it was something we were even interested in. It exceeded expectations! So much better than the nasty vault toilets at the...
Last year we did a DIY compositing toilet as a "proof of concept" to see if it was something we were even interested in. It exceeded expectations! So much better than the nasty vault toilets at the campground (especially during a pandemic) and it did not smell and was easy to deal with unlike...
Thanks. I have the redarc BCDC charger so I can hook the solar right in. I have an extra long extension so I can camp in the shade but take my panel to where the sun is. The LiFePO should last me 10 years and I love the capacity!
Haven't been doing a lot to the rig but outfitting with some fun kit.
Here is the latest addition.
Upgraded my aux. battery situation so I can tell exactly where I am at with the charge and can move it easier. My current procedure is once establishing camp (for multiple days) is to...
Upgraded my aux. battery situation so I can tell exactly where I am at with the charge and can move it easier. My current procedure is once establishing camp (for multiple days) is to disconnect the aux AMG battery that I have under the hood and hook in the 100 ah LiFePO to the electrical...
I installed a second battery and a BC/CD charger from Redarc. What this does is it controls the charging from my main batter to my second battery. In addition it allows me to plug in solar panels which will charge my secondary battery system when the car is not running. My second battery is...
Just placed the order. No more condensation due to Mr. Heater in the tent. Place I got it from is out of stock but in talking with customer service they reordered and the manufacturer is supposed to ship next week and I will have it before any big trips I have planned. Especially prior to elk...
Put on some new Bilsteins. Old ones were probably off the factory floor! Next suspension upgrade will be a Hellwig sway bar but that will probably be later after bumpers.
Don't be envious of my custom $100 work mat for working on your truck in the driveway. :)
Well I got out this morning for a short job of installing the new Bilstein Shocks.
I used my expensive $100 custom pad for working on your car in a driveway.
The old shocks were probably the ones it came off the assembly line with in 1997.
And put the new ones in. Struggled with the...
