Anyone got a trips planned or recently been on an adventure?
We have been on hild due to health and weather....but biting at the bit to get out exploring.
Anyone got any road condition reports for any if the state forest roads?
We took a ride on some township dirt/gravel roads that actually get winter maintenance...and the North facing slopes and shaded areas are an ice rink.
They were at about the 1200 ft elevation mark.
We spent some time...
We went up to the Elk Country Visitor Center yesterday for a workshop on shed hunting.
It was great and very informative.
If you have never been to the Winslow Hill area and the visitor center just outside of Benezette, you need too.
Had hoped to get on Ridge Road. But everything up there...
Looks like you must buy tickets in advance.
I will not be attending. But if enough people are heading that direction I may be interested in a meet up in nearby Rothrock or even Bald Eagle.
August will be here before we know it.
Looks like most all the State Forests have issued warnings about ice and treacherous conditions on the state forest roads.

They do not maintain the forest roads and do not offer towing.
If you get stuck...it is on your terms to...
So. Was going to update my map today. I got a route through Elk and a route through Tuscarora south.
Damn thing will not let me add anymore.
Trying to learn more about my mapping app. But I can not seem to combine routes on there.
Always some kind of frustration.
This may or may not be useful. But it should give a decent indication of what to expect when traveling.
Remember, forest roads are not maintained and a fresh snow can become an ice slide when the sun comes out melting it and then night comes and it freezes...
Started plotting routes in Tuscarora State Forest.
Found Wolf Road...which is listed as a full length drivable trail on an old map and the east end still being on the current download map. And they both show no gates.
And I found these other ones
But...apparently they are gated...or long...
Awesome. After seeing your last build with the 1500...very excited to see what you do here.
Makes mine look small
And just when I decided I was only gonna do 35s...ha
That is why I like the Purple Lizard Maps. They meet with all of the different land owner types. If a road isnt on their map...you know not to go.
If a road is...and you have a current release...you know you are allowed to be there
Some links for seasonal road openings during Hunting seasons, etc.

Some are closed already...but some are still open. Supposed to get 3 to 6...
