Yes, it is possible to do that. I have never done it myself, but there are pictures online of the platform elevated and a dirt bike in the cargo area of the trailer.

I realize my response may be too late, but if it is, hopefully it will at least be helpful at some point in the future. The OB is a good resource for finding campsites. I also recommend using the iOverlander app, which is free. Often times if there are a few campsites marked in a particular area...
It’s legal under federal law to import them.
States such as Maine and Rhode Island refuse to register them because the vehicles have not been through federal safety testing.
Welcome to OB. You’ve been to some great locations. I’m curious which of the places you’ve overlanded has been your favorite to this point. I’d love to make it to New Zealand some day.
That’s supercool. The standing height is great and the pass-through to the cab would be awesome. I wonder if they’ve done anything special with the gearing compared to a stock Tacoma.
