I'm thinking you could use the raspberry pi's gpio pins to run a bunch of solenoid switches. Use the USB hookup as the communication to the pi itself. It would be pretty easy to code that piece. The tablet piece might be a bit trickier though.
My 4th gen. She's been fun to build and I just put a new auxilliary battery in this week to run my fridge. Contemplating mounting up a 100 watt system soon, we'll see if I find a panel that works.

Hey man any advice on snorkels for the 4th gen. Definitely something I've been interested in but I haven't had the confidence to hack away at my fender yet
Progress so far. Just some finishing touches left along with figuring out the best way to secure the rear. Then install paddle latches, carpet and paint and we're there.

This has all been really helpful. I was a little late to do the ears but the rear bolt thing was so obvious and seems to work so well I'm a little embarrassed I didn't think of it.
I think I'm a little past the ears in the front. The back part where they used the bolt locations from the cargo tray is intriguing. I'll have to pull mine out and see what's up

Similar thing, bottom platform with the drawers mounted to it. It's going to be a big drawer on the left then a fridge slide with an embedded drawer on the right

I'm getting pretty close to finishing the second iteration of the drawer system for the back of my 4th gen 4runner and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for securing them in the back.
I used turnbuckles for the last variant and they worked okay but would constantly regularly loosen...
