That's an incredible amount of weight loss. Nice work! I'd love to hear more about how you accomplished that. Cheers!

Congrats! Nice work on losing the weight too. With the LED night riding lights on the market now you can ride 24 hours a day if you wanted to. Get a good one and you can ride after work every evening.

Can someone share coordinates or a pinpoint on Google Maps? I'll try to make this too.

Ah, okay, that is the western entrance to the logging roads that I normally go up into from the eastern side at Finney Creek Rd. Years ago there was a pretty big washout of Finney-Cumberland and there were road closed signs, but people were squeaking around it anyway. Not sure if that's been...

    Cancelled NW Washington Reoccurring Meet-Up

Hi Gabe, it was nice to meet you and Chris yesterday. Sorry I couldn't hang out longer, but I'm looking forward to future get togethers. What was the name of the road you mentioned that had a good camping spot? Here's Sauk Park campground. This would be a good location because just to the...

I don't think there would be snow problems. The tree cover is so thick there it would have to snow a lot for it to make any difference at the campground. Worst case would be that South Skagit Hwy or Concrete-Sauk Valley Rd could be icy/snowy, but even then I think it'd have to be some...

Baker Lake would be a great spot. Anyone else here know of Sauk Campground? Google maps doesn't seem to know about it. It has a very rainforest feeling to it. There is also an unofficial offroading area along the powerline due south of there that is fun to poke around on.

Is there a meetup this weekend in the Burlington/Mount Vernon area? I think a dinner in the mountains is a great idea. I like to cook.

Recommendations on after market CarPlay unit?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend an after market CarPlay unit I could install into my 1996 Hummer. My truck has an aging Clarion head unit and 6 disc CD changer. I'd like to replace it with a unit that can do AM/FM and CarPlay. Any suggestions and/or specific brands to stay away from...

No problem. Life's busy. Would just love to meet some other local overlanders and get ideas for all the cool gadgets I don't know I need yet.

    Oddball overlanding rigs!

Here's the trailer with the canvas cover it came with. This is the rack I had a local welder make for me. It incorporated two of the triangularish pieces from the trailer. The front two corners have empty square channels where the original bows can go. This lets me put the bows and canvas...

    Gaia or....

I've known of the OpenStreetMap project for a long time and it is indeed cool. I did not know that there were any good apps that made use of that data for iOS. So thanks.
