Hello, new to the Rocky Mountain area!

Spent alot of time in the medicine bow range, snowy range area and all of the area along the northern state line of colorado as a packing/outfitter guide. Both rigged and on horse travel. Use to live for those spring summer fall and early winters there. Spent alot of money at woods...

I swear these 10/22s can withstand a nuclear bomb. Very cool!

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

The sig 365 is a good blaster! I ran 500 rounds through one an figured id stay with my glock. But for a compact that can run 12+1 and take some pretty hot loads you cant ask for a better rig that sig offers. I ran about 4,000 rds through a sig p229 9mm before switching to a glock 19x and...

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

I have never messed around with different buffer systems, I shot an ar about a month ago that had a jp silent captured spring setup that was smooth! So maybe go that way? Has good recoil management too. I like the braided wire buffer springs too. But all that is still up in the air

How do you like the 2.0 shield? I had the first gen model and loved it after I replaced the trigger with a apex duty carry trigger. Heard the new ones have a better trigger. Traded mine for a sig p229 and that was the last s&w

No the bars slide back and forth to three adjustments. Or if you press and hold the lever the brace and the bars completely detach

I like the sb brace alot more cus it’s adjustable ive got one on a cheaper pistol that i have. . Its attacted but it is the adjustable part a button you press will release it to get to the buffer tube. Or if youve gotta morter the 5.56

    OB Approved Spill Kits

Being a trucker i always carried a spill kit in the truck and keep stuff in the tool box of my pickup. Had a fuel tank get hit by a blown tire (gator) and used a bar of soap to fix it by rubbing it into the abrasion. Dad was a gas and diesel hauler and gave me a few tips for the kit...

    OB Approved Camping with Firearms

I agree with you! To the guy that posted above this comment. Things happen pretty fast and to dig for something when a threat appears. Its better to have it on hand..and not need it. Than it is to need it and not have it. Its more or less your comfort level. But if you do use a weapon...

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

So here is one of the lower updates. The kak shockwave pistol brace isnt going to stay on, its just on there to retain the buffer retainer. Ill have a pdw sb brace on it when its done. Gonna do a ballistics advantage 12.5in 5.56 barrel on it. But the trigger group is BCM enhanced...

Why is it that the passengers always want to impute on your driving skills

Oh man, I think its more or less if a tree fell in the woods but she wasnt around to hear it. Your still wrong haha. Made her drive a day once and did the same and she got so dang mad! Its like it doesnt work to well does it. Luckly she doesnt do it on the trails but getting there is...

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

Amazing way to show your tribute to three guys that paid the ultimate price. Its hard to tribute those fella when they are missed so much! Yeah I like the black and red! Those fire groups are pretty wicked. I am gonna do one of these lowers in a 300 blackout so I can suppress it. Think...

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

There are some guys that bought the lower from PSA that color filled the milled designs. I am gonna leave mine blacked out. Not really a fan of flashy weapons. The rifle you build looks pretty steller!

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

Yeah I thought it was a neat lower. Its a “Dont tread on me” lower... dont step on the snake or it’ll bite you concept. I am gonna use a bravo company manufacturing enhanced trigger and bcm furniture for both. The upper build is kinda up in the air. Want todo 8.5 barrel on the 300 black...

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

Just got two of these for a couple of builds. My complete rifle is a rock river arms 16” operator. Gonna build a 5.56 pistol and a 300 aac. . Excited to build one. Putting a bcm trigger group in both prolly go with bravo uppers too

    Camp Security Options?

Thats more of a problem I think of too. If I am gonna be away from camp for more than a few hours it normally gets packed up and locked up in the bed of the truck. Normally just stay around the camp to sleep eat and keep moving. I see fishermen and hunters leave a ground tent or a camper...

My poor truck is totaled at Christmas.

I wrecked my ram 1500 in sept. It took em 2.5 months to put it back together. Got it back and sucker was rattling and squeaking like no bodys busniess! Sold it after the new year! Not fun experiences but hopefully was replaced. I owed to much on mine to total it

    Camp Security Options?

Here in Colorado we have a huge transient problem and they can camp in the national forests and they try todo alot in wooded areas around urban areas but the forest causes issues for other campers plus some wildlife issues. The human type of prowlers scare me more than the bears. dont worry to...
