Silk sleep sack, Sea-to-Summit Reactor extreme, mummy sleeping bag, and SOL escape bivvy. Sleeping pad and a tent always. The others depend on the cold.

Most of us will have 2 straps of some kind...the strap you're not using, or a blanket, should be lying in the middle of the working rope/strap. If something does break the dead weight will pull the working rope to the ground and act as a parachute. Since its halfway down either end it shouldn't...
I use Princeton Tec get pretty good life out of the batteries. Use new premium batteries for your primary. Lights are only as good as thier power source.

The two others and I that usually travel with split up gear. I will carry the kitchen and isopro, one carries snacks and meals, the other carries beverages. Much of everything else is redundant.

MSR Pocket Rocket fits inside the GSI Bugaboo. This was for solo Moto-camping. Thinking I might get the Coleman Fold-n-Go dual for the Jeep and family.
Yes please send updates as you get the dates more defined. Was out there in 2013 on motorcycles on tarmac only. Saw the trails on the GPS and left yearning to bring the Jeep back. If there's room to tag along, and I can schedule it I will meet you there.
