@510Steve I'm putting those on my short-list now :) thanks for the info.
edit: not in my tire size, but the G2 is, and a little lighter. Need to make sure that sidewalls and tread depth are similar for same performance and durability. I'll have to look into it more.
I have asked a similar question. If you ran skinnier tires then you keep height/diameter but lower the moment arm which means less torque to turn the tires/wheels. I know a bunch of guys that swear by it. Looking into tires, for me, the stock JL tires are actually great. weightwise they are...
I have used only leather, but any natural product should work well. When working with rigging, friction, and motors beware of synthetics, hot spots, liquids and electrocution cause they can melt. Better cowhide than my hide.
Thanks for the review. I have been thinking that this would be a great addition especially for primitive or roadside lunches. Did you just press it up against the back of the rear seats? Looks like it comes in Steel or Aluminum. Sweet!
Prototype arrived. This is a double sided flag so you can read both sides. Had to stage the shot on the cb antenna; the one day there is not enough wind in Kansas.

We have young kids (1 & 4) and the water markers books work well for them and we listen to podcasts. Adding this to watch list as I will need to know as they get older. When I was a kid Gameboy was only allowed on the highways, and we had to buy our own batteries.
Same as USStrongman. Came on the JLU. Gets the temps tolerable especially when travelling with the young kids or the dog. I leave it on the dash vents especially in the winter so as not to crack the windshield. If you have a fridge, it also gets that off the battery sooner. To answer what...
Great looking fleet. In case the Earth stops spinning can NASA borrow your truck to get it going again? Before here I had a 2001 Jeep Liberty with 6" and 33"s, and still have a 2009 Yamaha FZ1. Split the difference coming from my 2004 R6S and a cruiser. FZ1 is an epic bike. All vehicles now have...
Overlanding doesn't mean that you have to go off road, more self sufficient or off the grid. "It doesn't matter what you drive", or ride (motorcycles). Ask anyone that has lifted a vehicle, so much changes and there is always some performance lost as a price for function or vanity. When I start...
So you said a bunch of you went up there, that might have been intimidating to that guy he may have been just put off. 1:1 you might have been invited to stay. So balancing the safety in numbers and movie theater rule. How would you feel if 4 people sat by you, the only person in the theater? So...
I am so glad to see that someone has done this and it works! I would be storing it into a clean dromedary however. This is the setup that I was going to use to filter water on site. MSR/Sawyer hybrid. MSR does have a system to called the Trailshot for when you are away from camp that I would...
