    Alaska

Hey, a car! There would be stretches of the Alcan where you would drive for hours and not see another vehicle. Road construction ahead, along Muncho Lake, road had washed away during heavy storms. Not much of a delay, had one lane mostly repaired. Muncho Lake, it ran along the roadside...

Arrived in Dawsons Creek, beginning of the famed Alaskan Hwy (Alcan) on day seven of trip. Rolled northwest of town to Mile 0 Marker Campground. A family of mule deer exited the woods behind me, not sure if it was because of lack of showering...or what...lol. Breakfast/Dinner. May...

First camp site in Saskatchewan, Lessard Lake. Since l was traveling solo, had to make a few concessions with my wife. 1) No rough camping, stay at campgrounds unless no other option. 2) No hiking alone, because of health issues and difficulty with uneven ground. 3) ...can't really...

Was trying to put my finger on the year of your Defender, hood said Puma, but that older Land Rover 110 badge over the grill said pre-1990. Great looking rig, you keep it in excellent shape!

My toes and fingers froze off...just looking at those pictures...lol. Do you use an axillary heater while driving? A candle would put out more heat than my defender during those conditions.

New to truck and overloading....ready to get started!

Hope you mean...new to "overlanding"...not overloading...because overloading isn't really the objective here...lol. But, whichever you decide to do...take it slow and go out with a few different folks that overland or remote camp. It's not hard to spend stupid amounts of money on this hobby or...

Books that Inspired You to Get into Overlanding

Same, would sit in the back of our old, well new back then, 65 chevy stationwagon leafing through the road atlas staring at the roads and places. I believe l could read a map before l could read a book. When l was five, our family drove out west for three weeks and when it was my turn to ride...
