Looking at a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. It has a 4.5 rough country lift. Looks to be in good shape. Has a winch bumper. Has never been off road. I was wondering if anyone has a X J and how they like them.

I’m not seeing any older jeeps that are cheaper. My first Jeep was a 89 and I loved that Jeep. 2nd one was a 02 wrangler. Can’t believe the price on them. I have no luck on Craigslist so I look on Facebook market place.

Thank you everyone, Going to return the truck. We’ve had nothing but trouble with it. Brought it in to have a oil change and found the frame was rotten. Any suggestions on what to get for something up to 6000. A lot of older trucks all have the same problem with frames.

Going to be changing oil and coolant next week. Only thing I’ll be towing once everything is done is a friends horse trailer.

The covers look in good shape. You are right about putting my limited funds to other uses. It does stink to no longer be working.

Going to change the fluids. Unfortunately on a set income so can’t do it all at once. Going to do the oil and radiator fluids first. When I get to the differentials should I change the covers to a better cover? What do you recommend?

On my 04 F150 I have recovery points in the front with tow hooks. In the rear I have a 2” hitch. Do people use a pindle hook or do they use a hitch with hook?

Brought the truck in for inspection but it failed due to needing a ball joint on the right side. The place I bought it from took care of it today. Is the wheel bearing the same as the actuator?
