If I were you I would start at Tallulah River Campground, which is right down the road from Charlies Creek crossing. We actually started at Dillard Georgia and made it to Cooper Creek WMA. We like to stop look take pictures and such so I think most people could travel that much fairly easily...
We started out day hiking at our local national forest. We have now branched out visiting other national forest which require a over night stay. So we have started camping and overlanding on hopefully at least once a month

We will be coming from the west hitting the Traverse about noon. What I was wondering is how far most people get the first day. Just trying to start looking at places to camp and would like some idea of the area to look in. Thanks for any help you can give
2 and a 1/2 sheets of plywood, some slides and some Bedliner material and this is what we ended up with. It bolts down to the 3rd row seats and is removable. Fold the second row of seats down and you can get a queen-size mattress in there.
