I'm not a fan of EV.
Rented a tesla, and while they're cool, finding a charge station was a pain, half the stations i found were not operating or closed, and waiting in line was even worse, not to mention waiting an hour to charge. Not for me.
I can't imagine how you'd do when on a trail and...
My jeep was rear ended last January and when they cut the check, I got another jeep with a turbo diesel, added a 3.5" lift and 37s. What I always wanted. Previous jeep had a 2" lift and 33s, was good but not great.
Now, I can go where most can't, which is exactly what I was going for, I...
I usually go solo, since I work weekends only.
It's nice going solo and having no plans, just explore at my leisure.
We have bears and lions here too, but have 2 hunting dogs. Once, in Utah, a lion and her cubs were circling my camp at 2 am (toquerville falls) and she would not leave for at...
I want to take my fiance to see the huge trees, as she's never been before.
What are some good overlanding areas we can camp at, and still be somewhat close by to the park?
In a few weeks, I'll be heading towards sequoia. Anyone know of some good camping spots, away from campgrounds?
Preferably with no one around?
I was pointed towards the north side of sequoia.
I kind of avoid 'overland' products, they tend to be overpriced and seems unnecessary for good old camping.
I just bring camping gear, and my jeep does not look like the apocalypse is upon us. I do, have a battery and powered fridge/freezer.
I see a ton of rigs here in socal (mostly 4runners)...
Nothing overland related, but some stickers for the rig. I get them in black for the windows, I like the subtle look.
I have one so far, just the tip.
Next purchase will be spare relocation mount, and a regear. (4.56)
Neighbor said their dog was missing and last seen on this trail close by.
Went to go look, holy shit the trail was incredibly rutted out, jeep was nearly sideways in a lot of spots, next to big boulders, and almost got stuck in a deep spot with 2 foot depth of snow/ice. Had to reverse out and...
My boy and girl, Max and Nara.
They love going for rides and offroading (girl is into offroading more than my boy).
If I say 'wanna go for a ride?' They get very excited and run to their harnesses.
I'm not a huge music fan, my taste is varied, little bit of everything.
I do bring Bluetooth speakers for just background noise sometimes, like when setting up camp.
A lot of times I drive without music. I love hearing my 3.0 liter turbo diesel make noises haha!
Very nice! It's very clean and simple, how I like it.
I think the only cosmetic thing was the vinyl on the side of the hood, everything else is for function.
Before my lift and tires.
