    Overpacking

I try to bring the least amount of things possible. I see so many overlanders bring way too much stuff. Tent, sleeping gear, folding chair and table. 1 small stove, cutting board, utensils, paper plates, dometic fridge/freezer, food and water, and a trasheroo full of oak firewood (burns longer...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

3.5" MC game changer suspension. Got 2 things to do next, regear to 4.56 and spare tire relocation for my 37s. Also shopping for a larger fridge. Currently using an 18 quart but looking for something around 30 quarts, preferably dual climate.

    TURO- Pretty cool!

Rented a Tesla model S from Turo recently. A good way to rent cars IMO. Tesla is really fun to drive, but God what a pain to find a supercharger and wait 30 min to an hour to charge. Every other station was not working or closed, very annoying.

    Not new, but new vehicle

My 2016 wrangler was rear ended by a Silverado and was totalled. Was bummed out. But used the insurance money on a down payment on a 'new to me' 2021 wrangler turbo diesel. Came with a bunch of stuff. Tailgate folding table. Gmsr antenna. Roofrack. Tailgate reinforcement. Banks derringer/super...

What type of lifts are you running?

Thanks! I want to avoid the batmobile look that's so popular amongst the jeep community. This is as most as I'll upgrade, other than the longer springs and tires. Currently working on my sound system, to battle the mud tires

What type of lifts are you running?

I have a 1.5" teraflex st1 lift and fox 2.0 with resevoirs on my '16 rubicon 4 door, 33" tires. It goes to a lot of places that some 4x4s can't. Mostly because of the lockers and sway bar disconnects. Later, I will change the springs to 2.5" and get 35" tires, waiting for the current set to...

What justifies the expense for a rooftop tent?

It's a trend, once it fades, prices will plummet. Still won't get one when that happens.

    Something different. Let’s talk music.

Indeed. Got a new head unit, speakers, amp, and subwoofer installed. Very happy. Kenwood dmx7706s, cheap (temporary til I find good components 3 way) kicker coaxials, and 10" Kicker q series l7 subwoofer. Got a custom sealed box for the sub coming. So far, it's very loud, but my goal is to...

What gets adjusted when increasing tire size?

You might want to calibrate your speedo, I went from 32" to 33" and noticed a change of 3 to 5 mph difference and also the shift points were slightly off, it would hold a gear longer than it should.

    RTT vs Ground

The only benefit I see for the RTT, is bears. I can't find 1 reason to get a RTT, for me.
