Here's a standalone thread for those of us driving to Overland Expo West from the San Diego area. I'm currently planning to leave Encinitas early morning May 16 (THUR). I haven't yet plotted out any details, but I may camp THUR night somewhere near Black City Canyon. That's a little north of...
Expo Overland West from San Diego ... who’s going and when from our area? I’m debating on when to leave, leaning towards starting early THUR and camping that night somewhere in between.
In a few weeks I'm getting custom cabinets and a jerry can rack installed in my bed. The first pic below is my before shot. A local shop in our area fabricates parts made to order, and I'm optimizing storage w/o compromising floor space. I'm also adding some more pics from Crystal Cove State...
Hey guys quick question. I was at the mtg last week and a few of you mentioned recently doing a ham cram to get your license. Where did you go for that? I definitely want to get er done before Overland Expo West. Thx
Thx for the positive feedback, again. I’m also really curious about the upcoming Bronco, can’t wait. I just read a teaser about the 7.3 gasser. It’ll be interesting to see how that comes to market. The shop that installed my new bumper is Goose Gear in Westminster, CA. The owner, Brian, is a...
I ended up buying General Tire Grabber X3s. They get great reviews and so far I’m very pleased in mud and rainy freeway driving. I’ll get them in the snow soon.
20" x 9" rims (Dick Cepek Deegan 38), 275/65/R20 tires. I'm nearly ready to replace my tires, after barely 18K miles. I'm considering switching to BFG KM3s or Nitto Ridge Grapplers. For now, I'd prefer to stay with no lift/level, as I'm in a parking structure at work (barely fits as is)
I had my (Frontrunner) rack installed last week. I went to their SoCal shop and had them do it onsite. It looks nice and they were great to deal with. I will definitely continue to work with them for more products going forward.
Been awhile since I posted some pics. This was car camping just a few weekends ago with my son's BSA Troop in SoCal. They boys said my truck was the $hi+
Having recently had my truck stolen on a cross country road trip I know how important this thread is. When the dust finally settled from my insurance claim, I was out more than $50K to get into a new replacement vehicle. I’d suggest you look at a company called Ravelco, a simple, proven product...
Hello. I’m curious what experience our community has with after market bumpers for 2017+ Super Duty trucks. There are many choices and I’m committed to replacing both front and rear over the next few months. I haven’t yet landed on a permanently mounted winch or one I can move between front and...
