I'm actually thinking about starting off slow, with my younger dog, and just having him sleep in the RTT with me. At first, it will be just me, no wife. So I'll have room! But you gave me an idea about attaching a loop to my 80/20 rack and snapping a long lead to that for while I'm just...
My youngest dog, my buddy, isn't really trained to be off the leash. I'm thinking about it and I'm wondering how it would be sitting at camp with him attached to me via a lead all day and all evening. I bet I could get him up in my RTT without much issue. And chilling with him in the truck...
I've got an Xtrusion Overland rack on my 2019 Ranger (the first on a Ranger!) and I love it for it's ease of assembly and modular capabilities. Plus once you've gotten everything tightened up, it's pretty damn solid!
@Osteology posted his camp kitchen countertop, and it was too good of an idea not to do myself. I'm pretty thrilled with how my version came out!
I started with a piece of 2' x 4' birch ply that I trimmed down to the same footprint as my RTT's ladder when collapsed. I used "charred wood...
Thank you @Osteology ! I got about 98% done putting my camp kitchen countertop together today. I'm lacking two carabiners to be able to finish hanging my counter top. Once those get in (tomorrow sometime) I'll finish up the straps and get it hung and adjusted! Here is a teaser...
An annex might be the ticket for me then. Never thought of that. I had considered grabbing an annex for my Smittybilt tent, to use as a toilette room. :D It would be a great place for the dogs to lay on their beds. Without a toilette of course!
So the very first thing I bought for my truck, the week I brought it home, was the rear seat cover that does the u-shaped configuration! And we have the seatbelt clips for the kids too. I'm thinking that maybe I get the netting out of the wife's Ford Escape to keep the dogs from sleeping in...
We have two dogs that I absolutely love, and I've been thinking about how my new hobby might or might not work with them. I want to get my wife involved in this hobby too, and eventually drag her out with me on a trip from where we live in Georgia out to Southern Utah. The problem is that we'd...
I love it because I'm a huge Ranger Head myself! I'm still working on kitting out my truck for adventure; my plan is to get out in the early spring up in North Georgia. I like how your truck is turning out! Once the weather warms up, I'm going to seal my tailgate to help with the dust...
Not ashamed to admit that I'm going to copy this. It's a great idea and it looks like you executed it really nice!
I ordered everything I need except the stain and the spray polyurethane (blood orange nylon webbing, black carbineer clips, black webbing slides, black cargo anchors, and rubber...
My traction boards came with a "mounting bracket" setup that I wasn't very happy with. The backing plates were plastic, and I drilled two holes through them to mount them to my bed rack. I didn't have a lot of confidence in them holding up, and I has images in my head of my traction boards...
Today I took advantage of the nice weather in the area of 65° and decided to do a little maintenance on my purchased-use RTT. I put it up all the way, for the first time today. Once it was all up, I treated the canvas with a mold and mildew neutralizer, and patched two small tears in the PVC...
