Thanks! For sure. Once I get my fly fishing gear set up and a few lessons in I plan on spending more time in CO for sure. Will probably also be taking 2 to 3 weeks off next summer for the Buena Vista event

I can’t swing it. Got offered the job and it’s hard to ask for time off during orientation.

I got $5 saying the trailer will be completely set up by the time the trip is over!

I was bummed I couldn’t make it. But being on orientation in a new job position makes it a bit rough to ask for time off.

I have GAIA loaded up on both my iphone and my ipad that are with me when I off-road. I also carry a Delorem for the state I am in as well as the Wells book if it is available for that state. Often times, I will also hit Trails Offroad before a trip and download GPX files into GAIA for trails...

I think after reading here and some discussion with a friend that’s heavy into HAM, I’m just going to mount a 2nd antenna and avoid any hassle or potential issues. Probably safer anyways.

So after last weekends trip with members of the Rocky Mountain group from here, I am looking at purchasing a GMRS radio. Looking at hardwiring a Midland MXT115 into my Jeep. My question is this, can I use a HAM antenna to transmit/receive communications, or while I need a separate antenna for it?

Made it to Gunnison around 3ish after goofing of in Salida and the top of Monarch Pass For a bit, Had a great time and Enjoyed the runs. It was a pleasure to meet you all. Looking forward to more runs in Co.
