We bring 2 gallons of water per person for everyday we plan on being gone. Maybe less if we are going to stay in a campground where we have access to running water.
I"m also looking into outfitting our OV with a WaterPORT Day Tank for showers and other multiple cleaning options when back...
I've been going back and forth with this topic for a few days now and I do believe it really depends on the type of trip you are planning on taking, and to be flexible.
I like the idea of setting up a base camp and then having the truck free to go for a drive, trailing, etc. without breaking...
Hello
When I try and log into OB from my computer I’m getting a notification that says my account is temporarily locked due to failed login attempts?
I’ve had no failed attempts until now and I’m able to access my account via OB Talk.
Is this an OB issue or what’s up?

Hello OB Community
I'm going to be outfitting my Tacoma with a Snugtop Rebel Shell and I want to install a roof top rack for additional storage and wanted to know if anybody has a recommendation or options to consider?
I talked to a Snugtop dealer today and they said that Snugtop has the...
Great and thank you.
Glad I could help in a roundabout way!

All great info and I agree with much of it.
My goal is to experience a lot of different scenarios and over time we will figure out what works the best for us depending on the trip.
I’m 52 and semi retired and my girlfriend, who is 10 years younger, travels a lot for her career, so there will...
Thanks for the info!! Much Appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Todd and to be honest, at this point I don't have an identify for my off road style because it's been years since I've taken on this lifestyle. I use to have a Toyota SR5 4X4 and went off road that consisted of fire road, some water crossing, hill climbs, etc. and primarily...
These were taken while on a road trip through Canada and Washington. Pics are from Banff National Park, Canada and Klipchuck campground in Washington.

My girlfriend and I have a Vegas trip coming up in October and we are going to take an extra day coming home and spend some time off road on the way home and/or pick a place to stay for the night and come home on Monday.
Any recommendations for either a day trip or over nighter between San...
I just bought my Overland vehicle (2018 Tacoma TRD 4X4 Off Road) and it's not set up for sleeping yet. But when I've gone out with friends I've slept in the back of the truck with the shell, in a hammock on a great (non wet night) and in ground tent.
We are not sure what setup we are going with...
I posted this earlier in another forum, but now I'm thinking this is where it belongs..lol
So, looking for the PROS and CONS to a Rig Sleeping Setup vs. a Trailer Set Up.
I have a new 2018 Tacoma TRD 4X4 Off Road and in time I will make a final decision based on what we like, don't like...
Ya I figured that was going to be primary difference. I like the look of the Powder Coat better, but if you really bang them up they stay banged up, unless you remove and have them redone, and I'm looking getting them attached/welded to the frame, not bolted to the body.
Thanks Graeman
Hello OB Community
I'm trying to request an Overland Bound Member II trophy because I've met the requirement, but I don't know how to get that verified by anybody.
I've been given prior instructions on how to "REQUEST TROPHY" under Badges, but for some reason I don't have that option anywhere...
Hello OB Community
I'm looking at installing some rocksliders on my Tacoma TRD 4X4 Off Road and I'm debating between Powder Coated vs. Painted.
Thoughts and what are the Pros and Cons
Thanks
Hello OB Community
Just looking for some PROS and CONS to the different setups that are available with regards to outfitting my truck for our adventures vs. a trailer (tear drop or turtleback) setup.
I know that it's going to come down to personal preference, type of adventures we'll be...
Thanks for the link and info, just not the style I'm looking for. Looks very practical for someone who does a lot of trailing, camping, etc. Just not a look I would want for daily travel.
My truck came with Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain Adventure tires (P265/70R16)
I'll more than likely give these a go for a bit, see how they hold up and go from there. I'd rather put money into other accessories I don't have (like a hardtop shell), rock sliders and front bumper with a winch.
