So it is looking like there is supposed to be scattered showers this weekend. Just a heads up for everyone. Anyone have an awning or canopy? If not I can bring some straps and a tarp and we can do a makeshift one just in case.

This Thursday is probably going to be a no go for me honestly. The week days are a little rough for me. Generally up early and bed even earlier. :/
This to. Traffic around here is terrible and traffic coming back from the VA side during the week seems to be just as bad if not worse.
As far as meet-ups go, we have done the Cars and Coffee events in the past. There is one in Alexandria, the Kates Cars and Coffee, and I think one in the Dulles area. We could also do a meet at a local brewery to. Know that suggestion has been tossed out there.

Lets plan for 0900. I am coming down from Waldorf, MD and think its about 3hrs for me. What is everyone running for Comm's? I have a C/B, that sort of works, and one of those two way radios. Have found that those tend to work the best.
Sorry I have been a ghost on this, just got back from vacation. Was thinking more so that Saturday morning (the 21st), somethings are changing at work and trying to drive down there during peak traffic would be a beast. I think @geekyadam is more North than I am and it would be brutal.

Looking like the big levels area. Sounds like the Coal Road entrance is the best bet. I do not have access to the OB maps so going off of what Gaia has available and what ppl are posting.

I have actually never ran the trail so I have no preference of starting area. Have you ran the area before? If so, you might be the best person to make that determination. Time would be dependent on that location I guess. Think its about 3 hours and some change away from me.
