This for sure. It was mandatory for me to carry certain things in my vehicle when I lived in Germany. Be cool to have a little list that states what items are mandatory for one to carry in their vehicle per country.
Seems like the attention to this thread has been positive. I will try and...
What type of tree savers are everyone using? Thought about going with ARB since their name generally denotes a product with amazing quality, but wondering if anyone else is utilizing another manufacturer with amazing results.
Thats what I do. I do not keep anything in there permanently. I have been actually looking at the Frontrunner Wolf Pack box's. One for my recovery gear and then another for dry foods.
I concur, been looking at doing a wilderness first aid course and would like to gauge peoples opinions. Would also like to see first aid kits and what not.
Need some good recommendations on pet first aid courses to!
Awesome! Looking at the time frame, I should be able to make this. It is all dependent on if anything pops up over the weekend. I'll mark myself as a "maybe" in the Rally Point.
If you are looking to target people outside this thread, I would look at posting it under the "East" portion of the Overland Bound by Region.
Might get some traction on ExPo but I have not had great luck on that site.
@smplone I would go ahead and start a group chat/rally point. Kind of what we have been doing. Then just throw the link in the thread or start a new thread to showcase it. IMO, if you throw the rally point here with no dedicated thread then it might get washed out in the banter.
Personally, I...
I dig it. Only thing I can think of is have that first threat or w.e. be the info thread. Who ever creates it will just have to keep it updated. That way ppl arent sifting through posts or pages looking for that one thing. They can open the thread, see the info, and roll with it.
I follow that group but dont follow it. Seems like alot of ppl saying they did this or that, or inquiring about products. Nothing wrong with that but the goal of a NOVA/MD group would be just for trips centered around ppl in the area.
Feel like some of these groups get so bogged down in...
Haha. Thats kinda why I want to cross post. I know there are people without FB and those that prefer FB over forums. Feel like now it will be a continually evolving product until we hammer out something that works for everyone. We can always keep it public for those thay do not have FB but want...
I was thinking about doing one for just Nova/MD peeps. Keep it local and not require a member number to join. This will keep it accessible to new, local people who are looking to join us and what not. I can start one tomorrow.
Was also thinking that we could do polls on that page for long...
Maybe we should do a NOVA/MD FB page? Create a thread for each trip and post it here and on FB. That way the only info being posted in that thread pertains to the trip. Think the biggest thing is days off to.
Generally, Exped or someone comes up with something and we go. No real protocol, which I am guessing is attributed to this being a new and growing group.
Best bet would to ask for recommendations and shoot from there. Unless someone knows a really good place that is midway for everyone and is...
I have the Currie version of that one, was cheaper at the time, and love it. You just have to make sure you get the tire valve all the way off/unscrewed or else it will not work that great.
Don't know how much traffic it would get but what about a sub topic under the "Overland Gear" for a first aid or field repair discussions? An area to discuss first aid kits, classes, what people have encountered, etc. Same with field repairs, what types of repairs, breaks, equipment failures...
