    2018 GMC Canyon MTB/Overland/Adventure Rig

Right? :tonguewink: I tell you what. I sure miss the quiet of those G015s!

    2018 GMC Canyon MTB/Overland/Adventure Rig

So this was informative.... I can't seem to figure out how to disable stability control while in 4Hi. As a result the truck will automatically apply the brakes while doing dumb stuff which really slows down "progress". In 4Lo both traction control and stability control are turned off. I've...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Agreed. Although I have a soft shell and it has served me well the hardshell would be a lot easier on my prematurely-aged body. "It ain't age that made me look this way. It ain't the years, boy. It's the miles" - Chris LeDoux.

What did you get for christmas?

I got a 7.5" antenna replacement for my little Baofang UV-5R and an All-Top trash bag for the tailgate/spare tire. The Trasharoo gets a lot of bad reviews for UV and durability so I figured I'd try a different brand for $10 less. And it's grey so I won't notice UV damage as much. AND most...

    2018 GMC Canyon MTB/Overland/Adventure Rig

Swapped out the Wildpeaks for Milestar Patagonia. Kinda bummed about how noisy they are. They do well in snow so far. I'm hoping they perform like rockstars off-road to justify the noise.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Went out to test the new tires in the snow. They work fine. :)

King shocks for my lifted 2011 Tahoe.

I have OEM length King coilovers. With custom tuning it took well over a month to receive them from Accutune so waiting is part of the game when going custom. :)

    Strange noise.. and the fix.

I regularly fret over strange new noises only to find the kid has left something in one of the door pockets.... lol

    Chevrolet Colorado Suspension

He has a lot of options. It's all going to come down to how he plans on using the truck and what his budget is. This is a rough guide on lifting the 2nd gen GM Twins. https://www.coloradofans.com/threads/how-to-lift-your-colorado-or-canyon-and-what-tires-fit.397567/

    2019 RAV4 - The BabyYota Build Plan

I thought the same thing and then looked up his tire size. There really weren't many decent options.

    2019 RAV4 - The BabyYota Build Plan

Welcome to OB! Ohh and if you were ever on PriuChat, I was F8L on that forum for quite awhile.

    2019 RAV4 - The BabyYota Build Plan

I understand the loyalty thing but the price on those tires is kinda high. They generally run $215-$225 each and install should only be $80 or so. It wouldn't hurt to check your local Discount Tire. They price match too. So I regularly check Walmart and Amazon and ask Discount Tire/America's...

    2019 RAV4 - The BabyYota Build Plan

You're on the right track! IMO I would put the tires, recovery equipment, rack and armor at the top of the list and the RTT at the bottom. The RTT is cool but it won't help you get to, or more importantly, back from awesome spots. :) This is one of my favorite builds in progress...

Correct PSI for Holiday Mall Crawling? - Happy Holidays!

I generally stay aired up and park next to the cool kids with nicer toys for extra security. I don't want to be a victim of smash and grab. When the parking is limited I've been known to air down to 15psi and park right up in the landscaping. I recommend a mud terrain tire. I broke a...

Steel winch cable vs synthetic rope

I like that you can fix synthetic in the field. If you do have a small damaged section then you can replace the line and then repurpose the remaining good section as a winch extension. That and I HATE getting poked by loose wire strands. :)

Yup, it's another suspension question. But I desperately need your thoughts!

Are you doing the suspension install yourself? If so get the spring rate you need right now and worry about future mods later. If you go too high on spring rate without the extra weight you'll end up overlifted and the ride will be crap. My front end is currently too high and I can't drop it...
