Agreed. It's the "elitist snob" aspect that really annoys me, not the show-n-tell aspect. Like I said, it's hard to explain. We all know the type though.
As to owning nice things, nothing wrong with that either - it's when someone lords it over another person. You've seen it, I've seen...
I think all of you have spoken words of wisdom so far.
I'm tired of the whole 'overlanding' thing as well - it's way over used. In reality, what the vast majority of the people on here do is nothing more than glorified camping on steroids! Some fall more inline with glamping even. I...
"Those...", "THOSE..."!!!! I'm offended!!! I identity as a gender neutral rock - you've just dumped me in with everything in that general direction!!!
I am so upset and offended - I'm going to write to my congressperson! I'm going to protest online! I'm going to take it to the streets...
Nope. There is a Walmart in an area of Wichita that the average income is around $1M, and that's not including the three Koch family estates within walking distance of it.
I will often use vegetable oil, or bacon grease (like Shokgoblr) to season a pan from the beginning.
I do have a pan that is my all time favorite though - but I just can't seem to get it to season properly no matter what oil/grease used!! It'll work fine for the first, and maybe second use...

I had tried cigars a handful of times, before the military, even snuck one with my older brother and cousins at a wedding when I was 6.
Still, the Army is when it really got started - will never forget that 1st Army cigar. Was out in the middle of nowhere on a training exercise and I was a...
Right here... picked up stogie smokin' in the Army.
Took some effort, but hunted down the incredibly rare Series Land Rover cigar lighter for Grover. Look closely at the pic; the gauge below the lighter has an exposed light, I made a shield for it out of a cigar tube.
Two of the main reasons I do not use LED lights as much as possible is due to two things - they are too bright and they hurt my eyes.
Also, several studies have now come to light showing that LED lights are irreparably damaging the retina in eyes. They also disturb biological and sleep...
None of the colors offered go with the rims, or body color on my rig. So, I'd probably have to send one off to a specialist and have color dyed to match, or just run down to some overland boutique at a galleria to find something else.
Why do these types of post always make me think of that...
