Family trips were roughly planned last night and consist of 4x4 and MTB trail runs.
1. Utah - Colorado Exploration
2. Overland Expo 2020 in Flagstaff
3. Whistler B.C. riding and exploring
Solo trips haven't been planned yet. :)
They pretty much are. Accutune sells PAC springs for broke people like me. :sunglasses:
I had a hard time with the motion ratio measurements. It's not quite as easy as measuring in a perfectly straight line when objects are in the way. lol
Right but sidewall plies are a different measure. Most are 2ply regardless of load rating until you get into mud terrain and rough terrain (R/T or Hybrids) which are mostly 3ply. There are a few ATs with 3ply as well. So you definitely have to take that into consideration. :)
Walmart has some pretty gnarly landscaping you could flex on. :smilingimp:
Speaking of which. Aren't you supposed to come and play in the snow with me so we can teach you what not to do? :)
Had to go break in the new coilover springs so I can do the final adjustment before getting an alignment. There were plenty of smaller but deeper puddles that flexed the suspenion. This one was better for video.
I generally take puddles slow. You never know what's inside.
I tried to swap out the King 550lb springs on my coilovers to 450lb springs. I then realized the typical strut spring compressor won't fit between the coils of my springs. So after playing with bailing wire and ratchet straps for awhile I decided I'm too young to die so I took them to a local...

Last year I was in Moab on May 5th and the areas near town (Kokopeli, Hurrah Pass, Gemini, Onion Creek, etc.) were clear of snow except the top of La Sa Pass.
There are a TON of trucks around here and a sizeable off-road and overlanding population so I get a lot of compliments and questions about my truck but the #1 question is "What are those orange boards on the side of your truck? #2 What are those lights on your hood for? :sunglasses:
If the C rated tire will meet the load demands of your setup then it would generally be the prefered choice for ride quality and traction (conforms to terrain better when aired down. Assuming the sidewall plies don't change between the two load rating then both will be strong. A LOT of the large...
Chris (Venture4wd) and Mo (JL Life) seem to have a lot of trouble with the auto disconnect after water crossings. Chris had his replaced and the new OEM unit looked like it had better waterproofing. Skip to time 26:30
