    Forester XT build - Overland/Bugout

Light bar looks sick! Those bolts are mean and it's like perfect sized on the rack.

    Forester XT build - Overland/Bugout

Yeah I love the headlights, best I've had yet. Hope the leveling works!

    Forester XT build - Overland/Bugout

Lol you're right, I couldn't get a great picture of it last night I know the fog lights are aimable, I'd be surprised if the normal lights weren't.

Dude, this is funny. I spent the day installing the vent lights. Same as yours.

    Overland Vehicle 2.0

Motor on each wheel also means no axle or CV joints going down, which means a ton more clearance. Plus amazing control of power going to each individual wheel and incredible, instant torque. I'd love to see an electric overlanding vehicle with an onboard generator to recharge, similar to the...

    Forester XT build - Overland/Bugout

Might wanna wire from the battery. You can follow how sub woofer amps get their power from the battery to get it into the cab, then run it down the back under the carpet. Might as well use a large gauge wire too in case you ever want to throw a backup battery in the wheel well once you go off...

    Hauling wood

That multi use thing is neat, never seen anything like that.

    2015 Silverado / 2009 M1101 Build Thread

Went cheap on a chip tuner for my old '05 GTO. Bricked the ECU, had to get a new one. Whoops...

    Hauling wood

How does everyone haul their wood in? I know, buy it where you burn it, but you still have to put it somewhere between the hardware store and your camp, right? Right now I just toss it back, but that takes up a ton of storage room and I'd prefer to keep the wood off board. I was thinking of...

    Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid

Can't come to you from a Crosstrek direct review, but I can come from a Subaru and a WRX/Forester view. Interior - WRX/Forester share the same interior, so I can talk about that. Interior is... plasticy, but so is everything at this price point. You can get it upgraded with all kinds of fancy...

    Arizona Trip

That would be awesome, thanks! I'll honestly probably just push the trip back to June. Thanks for the info!

I definitely can't handle very large fallen trees right now... Do they tend to clean up the point sublime trail? Our dates aren't super solid tbh, it might be better to wait until later in the year if cutting it this close to the winter closure crops up these things.

Whoops, fumbled my words. Means to say only visitor center closed at north rim*

    Arizona Trip

Have a weekish trip planned for Bay area -> north of Yosemite -> North Rim -> Sedona -> Bay Area. Just happened to land in Sedona around the time of the expo, so I figured that was a bonus. If we can't make it, it won't be the end of the world. Of course, we could always do the whole trip...

Awwww, that sucks... We were hoping to do it a few days before Overland Expo West, which ends on the 14th.

    Arizona Trip

I was under the impression it was just the visitors center closed at Point Sublime? I have a trip planned up there in May and it should be closed then, should I be worried?

    Forester XT build - Overland/Bugout

Personally, I like the look on the cargo box, but drilling a hole in my roof would make me put it on a light bar. Light bars also look cool, so there's that!

Nice! How are you gonna handle the electrics? I'm really curious how you'll hook up the switches for it.

For Sedona, check out Schnebly Hill Road, for the Grand Canyon, you're going to probably have to do the south rim because of time. North rim visitor center is closed, but you could hit up other areas. Just expect a lot of snow and cold. If you still want to do north rim, check out Point Sublime.
