I contacted the dealership where this jeep was being sold. They sold it about 5 hrs before I contacted them, but never had a chance to take down the listing yet. Oh well.....They were asking 12,900 cdn.
I had one in the 2015 JK I had, and yes it was a good motor. What are your thoughts on the rig overall? do you think it would last if i got it rust checked and kept the orange scurge at bay?
I am looking at a 2013 jeep here on the island with 264,000kms. Think it's going to be trouble soon? I do believe it's mostly highway commuting kms. It looks to be in good condition. Thoughts on the milage of the pentastar, and the wrangler itself. thanks!
Here's a couple of shots from our trip...and the official link to explain this wonderful part of the world from Parks Canada.
The Tablelands - Gros Morne National Park - Gros Morne National Park (canada.ca)
Got the rear control arms replaced and good to go. If they don't last, I will be moving to another brand of arms instead of moog. But for right now, we did a trip to the tablelands in Newfoundland it was all good!
Yeah, I had to goto Goodyear auto center here to get a correct alignment. I have Moog adjustable everythings on my pat. Made a huge difference. Tire wear is MUCH better now.
Love it. Did you get your alignment figured out? I will tell you if your rear wheels are out, water and snow will NOT be fun. Our Patriot was out of alignment bad and the back end of the jeep would fishtail at the slightest rain or snow coverage on the road. After the new parts and...
I am after seeing lots of Overland rigs this year in Newfoundland. Anyone from here? I talked to a couple of couples who were at wing'n'it in Grand Falls-Windsor. They were from Nova Scotia and stopped there for supper. I was getting some stuff from M&M and just had a quick hello. I was...
Yep. the 07 era of all jeeps started doing this. I had no issue with the module itself but I cannot upgrade the lighting to LED / HID without flicker and lights going out
That being said, Newer LED bulbs (good ones) have adjustments for beam location and the "filaments" are in the proper locations. I have a set installed in our F150 and they work great, no light spillage, glare either towards the driver, or oncoming traffic, and it has proper beam pattern. Hell...
The Jeep uses PWM to run the high beams at a lower wattage. Sending pulses to the headlights. This causes the flickering you see with many headlights. Jeep gets away with it in their older rigs by using halogen which stays illuminated even after power is cut for the impulse. A LED is very...
I would be getting H4, which HIR does not come in. I tried to get susquahanna to create a wiring harness for my rig already, they can't because of the DRL. I may contact them again, and see if they have something rigged up now.
I want to install Hella E-Code housings in the patriot and put HID into them, but damn, this little rig does NOT like anything other than halogens. So, I think I am going to put Hella 2.0 bulbs in there.
Update on the stereo, it does not see the music in the thumb drive the way I wanted it to. I have to figure that out. There was/is a terrible squeaking from the back of the pat. Turns out the bushings in my Moog rear uppers are worn already. I have warranty replacements here from RockAuto but I...
Here is the correct answer. These. Expensive yip....worth it....yip! I was looking at an older Tacoma for our second vehicle, and these were the first thing I was doing with it.

Living in Newfoundland Canada, We have an abundance of fresh clean water to use for washing. We just fill our large pot up, fill up the pressure shower, and have at it. Clean every day. I know it's very hard in other places, but here its as easy as a 10 min boil.
@Sea Diamond , You are in...
I found the exact same thing. I want to take possession by this time next year. Our mortgage is up for renewal, and we will have a bunch of stuff paid off then, and can get into the truck and have less monthly outflow than we do now. So, we will be in one by aug next year. Can't wait either...
So me and Little man went and finally sat in one. It was an xlt trim which we will be buying. The seats are crazy comfortable. It's a great size, Little man had tons of room in front of his 6'1" chassis. He approves of the "cool" door handles on the inside. We are placing our order soon.
