    Your favorite WA FS roads

You know.. That NF-12 looks like a good road for getting ones "feet wet" off-roading. Might be a fun place to go for.. Donno', picnic? BBQ? You been down the entire road? Would the lookout be a good meeting place? Is there better places to pull off? -jim lee

    Cle Elum to Leavenworth routes

Have a look at the WABDR map. There's a route there. We did it last summer. I forget the route, was too busy keeping the truck running. But search on WABDR and you'll find it. -jim lee

    Resolved Rally point issues..

No change. I fill it in, click preview, it scrolls me to the top of the page and does nothing. The button just spins on the little arrows. Click publish, all I get is little arrows. Click generate invites, I get invites. But no prieview or rally point. Its like I have an error to fix but...

    Resolved Rally point issues..

I did NOT use the generate invites button. Because I didn't want to annoy 100+ people with a code test. -jim lee

    Resolved Rally point issues..

So I filled everything in. Looks good. I can see that I'm also logged in etc. I hit preview and it takes me to a field that needs filling in. Ok, fix that. Hit it again.. Another missing field. Finally I click it (I guess everything is in order) and it just sits and spins. I get no preview...

    Resolved Rally point issues..

Can't preview or post a rally point. Went through all the steps, fixed the mistakes but I can't (A) Get a preview, or (B) Post the event. All I get is spinning arrow GIF on the buttons. Went off, did something else for a couple hours, came back, no change. Running Mac 10.13.6 Safari 11.1.2...

Not a build as much as a resurrection?

Well thank you! Its currently a fun machine. Although Julie bought a rooftop tent for her 4Runner so she plans on us using that for a portion of the overlanding. (How boring). -jim lee

Homebrew Iridium Messenger and SMS Gateteway

Ha! No.. I'm an old c++ guy. Wrote a ton of c++ code when I was young and so was c++; laughing and the old fashioned straight c coders. Now I'm old and don't want no "New Fangled" language to confuse me. Although I do think that their "Edit your code right in the chip" thing is pretty neat. I...

Homebrew Iridium Messenger and SMS Gateteway

The original plan was to just build a "text & tunes" box for the kids. Then... It was only a few more lines of code to make it do voice calls.. So that was added in. With the addition of a second processor to run the GUI I ran out of room in the case to put in the .mp3 player hardware. (Grrr!)...

Homebrew Iridium Messenger and SMS Gateteway

Mine is a 2G cellphone. Or is becoming one. 2G because that's the hardware I got my hands on first. You can see links to it at the end of page 6 of my project blog. People were asking why I'd disappeared from the truck world so I added the cellphone into the tuck blog to show what I been busy...
