Hello, fellow overlanders, I am planning a trip to Utah this summer and looking for ideas, insights, and locations for off-grid / dispersed camping and great places to visit, will be traveling from Salt Lake City south to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon to Lake Powell, Monument Valley, and...
Questions for the group:
Do you haul kayaks, SUPs (Stand Up Paddle Boards), or canoes when Overlanding?
What is your setup?
What are the pros and cons of hauling gear on weekend or longer trips?
We have camped for years and are avid kayakers. However, we are new to vehicle-based...
Starting to shop around for our first G.O.A.T. vehicle, currently using our family minivan and my son’s Jeep Patriot to carry our kayaks and camping gear for now. Put the $100 down to reserve the Ford Bronco Black Diamond, but having second thoughts as I am not sure I want to wait that long to...

Planning on heading west into the North Carolinas mountains for Thanksgiving, Wife and two sons (high schoolers), each of us is responsible for cooking at least one meal on the campfire, will share recipes when we return. Should be interesting to see what everyone cooks, not sure about the...

I use three different applications; on my phone, I have the free version of Gaia GPS and of course google maps. In my vehicle, I have a Garmin Nuvi 50LM Navigator and a handheld...
Padams7. That is great for you and your son, enjoy the scouting journey, try not to take it too seriously, and have fun learning cool outdoor skills that every kid should know.
