Questions for the group: Do you haul kayaks, SUPs (Stand Up Paddle Boards), or canoes when Overlanding? What is your setup? What are the pros and cons of hauling gear on weekend or longer trips? We have camped for years and are avid kayakers. However, we are new to vehicle-based...

    Camp entertainment

I agree, having a movie night is a bit counterproductive to spending time off-grid. However, it is a good filler for one or two nights when you are camping for up to a week. I have recycled an old 6’x4’ pop-up display unit, it is lightweight and the back is white, which works well for us.

Haha! @FishinCrzy , so true, I know what you are talking about, I even lie to my kids about some of my scars and old injuries, as I don’t want them to know how crazy I was when I was their age. But, we need to let them explore and have fun too!!!

What are you using to mapping your journey and navigating your route?

This is more curiosity than a question, wondering what is used for mapping your journey and navigating your route? I use three different applications; on my phone, I have the free version of Gaia GPS and of course google maps. In my vehicle, I have a Garmin Nuvi 50LM Navigator and a handheld...
