Bump. Still for sale. I'll be at the Roof Top Tent Rally in Gladstone, Virginia next weekend if anyone is interested in looking at in person. I can sell it on the spot because I have a ground tent and sleeping platform in the back of my truck.
Aw shucks. That's a bummer. I really kinda like these tents. But if I have to strap it to my roof I may as well keep my roof top tent. But maybe I'll change my mind. I'm currently trying to sell my hard shell roof top tent. I'll be at the Roof Top Tent Rally in Virginia next week, then Overland...
Overland Expo had a new volunteer coordinator after Cyan left after last expo. But things didn't pan out with the new coordinator. Looks like Cyan is back as the volunteer coordinator again and they are still in need of volunteers for Expo East. So if you have the time and energy to help out...
Bump.
I’ll be attending the Overland Flea Market at Blue Ridge Overland Gear in Bedford, Virginia this Saturday. You’ll be able to see it in person there if I still have it.
Literally 5 minutes. I'm only 5'-6" so I really struggled setting up the clam shell style RTT. With this, I unbuckle the front 4 buckles from standing in each rear door of my Tacoma, then from the tailgate un-do the rear 4 buckles and give it a little lift and it pops right up. I usually keep...
Switching things up once again. I'm looking to sell my COE roof top tent I've owned for less than a year. This tent is super easy to setup and pack down compared to a clamshell roof top tent (which is why I bought it). And the mattress is extremely comfortable. This tent has definitely given me...
Interesting. The details on this product mentions “awning”, but I don’t see one pictured.
Setup Size: 102.3" (w) x 82.7" (d) x 74.8" (h) + 78.7" (Awning)
I would think these tents would be fine in cold weather since they can be completely zipped up.
I’m also looking at the North Face Wawona...
I'm changing up my cooking setup and deciding to sell my skottle. Asking $225. This runs $275 new without the grate, lid, or wind deflector. Located in Harrisburg, PA.
Everything here is included:
Tembo Tusk Skottle
Burner
Wind deflector
Raised grate (for cooking items off the surface)
Lid
Case
I can’t seem to find any mention of ground tents on the CVT or Tepui websites. I’ve seen the Tepui ground tent on YouTube though. This makes me think that manufactures are not offering these tents for a reason, I’m just wondering what that reason is. As a consumer, this is raising a red flag.
Just curious if anyone has any experience with the Overland Pros Panamint 2000 tent. I like it's ease of setup compared to the Kodiak canvas tent I had a while back. But I'm a bit concerned about dropping $450 on a tent with no reviews. My research has only found a very poor video of these guys...
I'm actually looking for one of these after seeing a friend who owns this setup. He explained how he uses his and kinda sold me on this expensive light setup.
Yep. Which is actually why I sold my motorcycle and bought my Tacoma. My first time at Expo East I was on my BMW F650GS. I came home, sold my bike and traded my car on the Tacoma so that I can travel with my pup. He's now been to Expo East and West. Just gotta make sure there are on a leash...
Somehow notifications are not always working for me here, so I'm just seeing this now. I put in for volunteer days Thursday thru Saturday but I haven't heard back yet. I'd plan on leaving early Wednesday morning and arriving there sometime that afternoon. But I'm not making plans until I here...
