When I go with the wife we have a Chevrolet 2500HD diesel pulling a 28’ Grand Design 2800BH travel trailer. When it’s just me, it’s my Jeep Jk Rubicon. My wife doesn’t like off road, but doesn’t mind me going and having fun. We are 70 and 66.

I run them on my 2010 JK, boost up the pressure when the Jeep is loaded up.

Inreach Explorer+ and ACR PLB (personal locator beacon). They go everywhere I go work or play.

I have both Apple iPad and Samsung tablet. On the iPad I use a Dual gps puck. Honestly imho it’s a pain. I find myself migrating more to the tablet. It’s built in gps works great and super easy to link to my Garmin Inreach if needed. Gaia software on both.

Here is a picture of the water crossing on the Mojave Road from 3 years ago. The last 2 years is has been deeper. Well over my tires.

Hi guys, if my leg is better when you go to Buck Rock let me know. We have a microwave site there and over the years I have helicoptered, taken snow mobiles, snow cats, and drove up. Once you get there the view is breathtaking.

Power line roads are your friend, except sometimes they can be gated. Dan and I ran into that not long ago. Hola Dan!

Raptor would be fine, you could do it in 3-4 full days of driving. No time for side trips though, just a lot of driving.
