Forgot I had this photo from earlier this year... shows you my cozy little sleeping area. And yes, I get to watch "tv" too. I have a tablet mount on the Synergy basket.

Sadly, I cheated on my Jeep today....
I parked the 285 ponies and traded down for "1 horse power".

I'll have to make it up to the Jeep tomorrow... new rear sway bar links (extended ones), and I have to find a...
It's not me that was stuck with the @vagabondexpedition Jeep.. but you can see where I did get stuck... just off the drivers side of the pickup truck. My traction plates were quite handy here and I was out within seconds. The other Jeep, well, it was buried and this truck couldn't get him...
Look into Jeep products... I use a "Dirty Dog" rear cargo net above my back seat area for this exact purpose. The "cargo net" is more of a netting for use when the Jeep top is all off - but for me, I leave the hard top on all the time and the net works as an "attic stuff space". Of course...

Something went 'bump' in the night.. turned on the night lights...
Something went 'bump' in the night... so I turned the night lights on. Didn't see what it was though. Although the wet falling leaves certainly make interesting sounds at 3am in the cover of night, the 'bump in the night' was something on the rocks beside me. Something heavy enough to move the...
Sigh. Another beautiful spot full of trash.
On a positive note, it's a quick cleanup for someone with room to load it up.

Here's a cool product I picked up off amazon a few days ago.
It takes the simplicity of window screens a step beyond and adds some rain shelter. Cost isn't a whole lot more than the window screens themselves. No, it's not a DIY project - but with the low cost of this window screen, it may be...
Thanks! I'm in Vancouver now... contemplating a run to CA in a couple of weeks, but sadly just for a couple of weeks (and likely leaving the bike in Vancouver during this trip). I'll have to look up that rack for sure and see if anyone in Canada is selling it yet and try a 'test fit' to see...
I have no idea if you can lift that at all, but just remember throughout your 'envy' of the other rigs that EVERY vehicle you see here has limitations - some more than others but they all have limitations. Just work around your limitations, go explore and have fun!
I missed this thread a while back - but just FYI,
I have the Smittybilt tracks - had them on the roof for a long time exposed to sun - they faded, but haven't become brittle.
I also bought from 4 Wheel Parts and added on their three year warranty - so if they do break or you churn the treads...
Glad I stumbled upon this thread here!
I like to bring the Scott Genius 740 with me when I can.
VagabondExpedition Jeep - Somewhere in Northern Ontario at Sunset by e j, on Flickr
It was an expensive purchase - but then, I did get a good deal on it as it was a 2016 model, purchased earlier...
I've had a couple of mechanical problems with the Jeep over the summer of 2017. I don't consider that too bad. It's a 2012 with almost 130,000km now. Varied use from highway to offroad, and of course, carrying heavy loads with all the overlanding gear.
Anyway, I posted this video up on...
Ventured out with a few new friends from the 4WDABC (4WD Association of British Columbia). This is what's called the West Harrison/Hale Creek "newbie" run.
