I will never get out there as often as I would like. For me, what makes up the difference, is enjoying the preparation process. Working on the rig with my boys, and including them on the planning and prep.
I think you're doing the right thing in identifying your limitations and priorities and...
I've passed the first break-in period, and I couldn't be happier with the G2 4.10 gears. The only thing that needs to be changed is the tire size, as the 33s currently on the truck are running the RPMs too high. (The wife put a mandate in place that these tires had to be worn out before the...
Thanks for the heads-up on the tie rods, I currently carry a set of endpoints, but may need to look at that part of my kit again. Is it the inner tie rod that's breaking or another part?
I've been thinking of having a fabricator mount the spare under the rear of the trailer, using the same...

While the trailer is in the shop, I went up to Oklahoma to purchase a spare this weekend. It took a few weeks to track one down, but it's going to make me feel a lot better about taking it into the backcountry.

Made a quick trip North with the family last weekend to the Ouachita National Forest. Got to test the M1101 out on some dirt roads.
I'm pretty pleased with how it pulls, on and off the pavement. Hit a lot of rain, and need to make some changes to my storage containers and how I'm securing them...
I'm running 33" Toyo MTs....because my wife won't let me get 35" Toyo MTs until the current set wears out.
