    Mr. Buddy Heater Question - Outdoor Use, Dispersed Camping

    I ditched the buddy heater and went to a cheap Chinese diesel heater and it’s a little bit more complicated, but I like the dry air instead of the condensation of running the Buddy heater. I think the fan’s good you’re gonna go with it. Keep that air moving.

    Finally getting around to it

    What a great idea and right now I think a lot of those rigid boxes are pretty cheap at Home Depot. It seems like they’re trying to get rid of them or maybe going to a different model but I picked up a few of them at my local Home Depot for next to nothing great build.

    Refilling 1lb tanks, who does it?

    I agree, this is most likely the best and safest method, the tank has an inspection process / date, more bang for the buck, hose is cheap. Just my two-cents worth.

    I like mine as a quick boil, or secondary stove, best bet is to look for a used one, throw in your kit… my two cents. Stay safe - Tom
