Pretty small is what I am looking for. I have a 2dr Jeep JK. When I go on big trips i take the back seat out but that is because I typically car camp so I cant have to many "large" items in with me.

That is awesome, I'm glad you are coming back with questions to help narrow my search. my answers are below in order of what you asked. - 9 out of 10 times I am cooking for 1, occasionally cooking for 2 but not often. - I cook mainly with a coleman single burner mainly because I use to do ALOT...

I am really liking this setup! very compact yet has everything you may need or want. In the second picture of the stacked boxes. Is that bottom one and 8 gallon action packer? I was suggested those and I was curious how the physical size was and how "strong" or sturdy they were?

That would be great, but since I am in a 2dr Jeep JK I dont have the space for it. I plan to do alot of car camping along the way so space is at a premium in my rig.

I have looked at Zarges boxes before and they are very very nice, just a bit out of my price range right now. I am in a 2dr Jeep JK so I don't have the space for a drawer system with the way I plan to camp. Thats why I want simple and easy to pack. thank you for the suggestions. Always looking...

I have never heard of these "action packers" but you are the second to suggest them so I will defiantly be going to check these out! Thank you!

That is exactly what I currently do. I have a single burner Coleman stove, a pot/pan set, and a set of travel utensils. I eat out of those pot and pans for less to wash. I am looking to add a bit more to it. basically simple but worth the little bit of extra space

That sounds like a great setup! My only concern is size. I plan to be sleeping inside my jeep majority of the time so packing small is a must.

    Portable solar panel/generator

That is really good idea. I had not thought about going that way. Whenever I research online everything tries to get me to buy the super expensive goalzero or some cheap Chinese knockoff. Thank you!

So far not as much as I would like. I have done light bar and pod lights. I have had a full tune up done. I have done some cosmetic things with grill inserts. I have 4 boxes of parts to put on, fingers crossed I get them all on next week. I am a teacher, esports coach, and bakery owner here in...

    Portable solar panel/generator

One thing we all need is power when we are out in the middle of nowhere. I have used a large jump for a while now and I haven’t had any problems on “shorter” trips, but charging that takes so long and has to be plugged into the wall. I’m saying that I am looking for suggestions on a solar...

Thank you for the welcome. I was actually born in Portland. My father was stationed there back in 1991 with the Coast Guard. I will be traveling through Utah on my way out to MOAN next summer. (Well that is the plan at least)

    Higher Fuel Prices And Overlanding

The sad part is that it is unpopular. I understand wanting to have an electric vehicle, I want one I actually want to get one for my wife to handle cake deliveries and pickups because it would save on gas, and wanting to do better for the environment, but getting to that point takes time and...

    Higher Fuel Prices And Overlanding

Exactly! They may can get out there but they may not be able to get back. I know cruising down the highway in a fancy electric vehicle would be nice and comfy compared to my loud jeep with lots of wind noise, buffering from the sound bar, and road noise from my tires but....... I can carry some...

These are some night shots at Zion National Park from my first ever Overland trip a couple years ago. I drove from Central MS to Zion National Park before turning back around. The purple in the first picture is the bands of the Milky Way Galaxy and the mountain in the second picture is lit up by...

    Higher Fuel Prices And Overlanding

Oh I know! I am an Engineering, STEM, and Robotics teacher. One of my big units is on sustainability and so many people don't realize that the creation of these batteries and electric storage facilities are not any better than fossil fuels. In fact some European countries that have the biggest...
