Neal is correct, start drinking a lot more water before you get to CO. A couple of days ahead of time.

US East Running the Trans America Trail (TAT) from WV to the OR coast

You will be gaining years of experience on this trip. While I have never met any of the people going in this trip, I feel that you will be in good company. Eyes and ears open and don’t be bashful about asking questions. The only dumb question is the one that wasn’t asked! Enjoy your trip, it...

US East Running the Trans America Trail (TAT) from WV to the OR coast

While we didn’t camp along the way, we did carry basic camping gear just in case. Never used but it was reassuring to know that if we couldn’t make it to town and needed to camp could have. We carried enough basic food to make it through the night.

We did it with way less than that list of things. I don’t even remember having to air down anywhere. We had no off roading experience and made it just fine. You will have a great time! We have the same year Rubicon as you.

At our previous house, we had 10’ ceilings in the garage. I had the tent suspended on a pulley system. Lower right down onto the Jeep and in no time it was ready to go. Here, I can even get the Jeep into the garage tent or no tent.

True enough. Drywall. The ones I used in the past did a great job of lifting drywall, I never put 100lbs + on one.

The drywall lift is a fantastic idea and if we go to anything heavier I will have to remember this. My rack is 80” off the ground will the lift clear that?

I use a couple of 10’ long 2x4s leaned up to the back of the Jeep. I just push it up the ramp and on to the platform. My RTT weighs about 105 or so.

You are going to take it apart and try to see what the problem might be right? Could be something very simple.

    Table Assist

It looks to me like hardboard. Lowe’s call it “brown wall panel”. Not very weather resistant though. No telling what they call it in your part of the world!
