only issue found thus far is that my girlfriend is 5'2" and she cannot see inside the fridge because of how tall the jeep is and how tall the fridge is. were actually bringing a folding step stool now...... +1 for normal cooler..
Installed the whole system in the Liberty yesterday. i got crafty with the latch, used a standard slide bolt latch and found a 5/16" OD spring. i cut off a piece of the bolt so the spring would sit inside the sleeve. welded a small washer to the end of the free sleeve and bolted it all down...
Fabbed up a quick drawer slide and ran 12v power to the rear of the Liberty today. Just need to figure out how I want to latch the slide so it doesnt move while in transit. Thinking of a simple bolt slide that can be found at the hardware store
Since I dont have a device to measure power consumption I decided to set an experiment. Please poke holes in this if you find one. (I'm no electrician)
Its stated that it draws 4.2AH. But I'm making the assumption that is when it's running nonstop.

I mean worst cause, it's basically an appliance and if it does die, I'm assuming you can take it to an appliance repair specialist and they can get it back into tiptop shape. I'll be testing it for a week or so prior to our assateague trip on the 25th!
maybe people have lower expectations from a no name brand compared to smittybilt. i think im going to pull the trigger on it shortly. just need to make sure it will fit!
smittybilt states average of 40watts or 0.7Ah/hour. this one states 50watts on average. so maybe i cant math very well and its not 4.17Ah and its only about 1Ah. or 4.17 is at the coldest possible setting. Smittybilt does boast a danfoss compressor while this is a chinese replica...
