US East Northern VA / MD Monthly Meetups

Wait a bit to come for the brewery we sold out of almost all our beer th first week we openned. We will be releasing the wheat beer this week I believe and the smoked rye next week. We brewed about 470 gallons last week but have to wait for the different beers to ferment now.

The problem is I have almost no pictures on my phone as i dropped the other phone in a vat of wine and it quit working. hell I would probably quit to. When I post pics on here I simply copy and paste from TW. It works but will it last? I have already started a build for the truck and everything...

US East Northern VA / MD Monthly Meetups

It has been a really fun project. I am not affraid to say it is perhaps the most modified tiger Moth anywhere. I am not done yet either. I think I have as much if not more fun making stuff for it or working on it than I do for the truck. It suits me my wife and our little dog beautifully. I...

Yep no rtt and it isn't necessary. I liked how they layed the wolly Bear out with a nice kitchen space and I believe the slide out drawer would house a nice size fridge.

The Wooly Bear is a great platform. Warren at Road trip has used some inginuity and come up with some really cool add on racks for them. I believe he has even developed an elevating tent platform. That's a tough little trailer. Yep, we are still diggin the Moth. Just haven't been able to get...

Busy day getting a few things cleaned up around here. We are checking out Pochahontas State park next weekend. I bought a new stove at expo so I got it out and messed with it for a bit much better controls than the Coleman. I installed larger tires on the camper earlier this year and I had made...

    Starting a build

The other bennifit to this approach is you most likely won't have to purchase a lift more than once. Many go strait to a lift as one of their first purchases because it looks cool. When they later add other items such as the armor you mentioned they discover their coils or leaf packs or AAL's...

Casper's 2015 TRD Sport ==still a long way to go build

BED STIFFENERS: It has been a thing in the Tacoma community for the last couple of years to install bed stiffeners. Tacomas have multi piece beds with a composite lining and steel exterior. Folks install heavy bed racks and camper shells and, especially if they off road, the bed will tend to...

I'm diggin it so far. I'll either give it some time to see if I really like it and strip it and actually paint it on or just leave the dip it's kinda rubber coating protection anyway. The edges not being nice and clean is what irritates me but its just because i am used to regular paint when...

2015 Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab Build

Pretty typical. That reminds me I probably ought to find the registration for the camper

Hell you're lucky we can't run LED lights here in Va. Any exterior lights have to conform to OEM they wouldn't even pass my LED reverse and tag lights and they're on the rear of the truck

2015 Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab Build

Ha it was a little overwhelming. That was my first time at an expo as well. I think I had more fun looking at the set ups in the camping area than the stuff in the vendor area

OB Approved Overlanding/Camping with a dog

My little buddy Crocsy (yes named after the shoes) goes ost places with us camping unless there's something we want to go do where we know she can't go. I will not leave her in the camper all day locked up. yes she has her own chair. She is what you get when you cross a lab with a...

OB Approved Overlanding/Camping with a dog

In Va with a Tacoma also. There are some really beautiful places here to camp especially in the mountains. We live in the foothills so sometimes this can be a 45 inute drive to get where we are going. We bought a pet sling for the rear seat. It clips around all 4 of the headrests, covers the...

    OB Approved What is "Overlanding"?

I apprciate this organization and am trying to soak all this in and learn as I go. I started "camping" in the millitary perhaps the biggest overlanding organization. We became Girl Sout leaders and took the girls camping a few times a year. Now that our daughters arre grown and gone we are...

Casper's 2015 TRD Sport ==still a long way to go build

Ok so I guess I am considered a fan of SOS Concepts armor. I have good reason, the product quality is fantastic, price is comparrible, lead times are short, and above all the customer service is incredible. Eddy is a great guy to work with. It takes me a while to order big things like this as I...

Pull the tape while the dip is wet. I even went back over the edges just prior to pulling the tape and still didn't get crisp edges. If somebody knows better please enlighten us. I painted vehicles and equipment for 30+ years and have done a fair bit of graphics but i can not get dip to leave a...
