I found the posting. I am trying to clear some things off and see if i can make it. I'm about an hour and a half away so lease keep us posted as to if there is enough participation and you will deffinately have it or not. Or if you are having it regardless. If we attend is there anything we...
Busy weekend. Worked in the truck a bit and installed a roof rack and snorkel.
it wasn’t putting an airplane in a tree, super cool btw, but a fun weekend
So continuing a busy weekend I decided it was time to snorkel up!
I chose an Airflow America snorkel it is a little more compact on the fender and had better functional numbers. The issue was they weren’t being made for a second gen Tacoma anymore but I finally found a source.
for anybody...
Busy weekend started by installing a Hooke Rd roof rack
it’s not one of the fancy name brands but this rack is very beefy and should do anything I need it to. I can fabric cate mounts for traction boards and other items. Also comes with 4 pod lights
Idk what y’all do for items for sale. I am always watching out for good deals and pass them along when I can. A guy I work with is selling a contractor aluminum cap. Black and grey, sliding windows , fishing rod holders $350. I just thought to post locally as I know he’s not shipping. @moderator...
I try and hit the leaves every weekend to keep up with them my house is surronded by woods so leaves are plentiful. Yes getting old sucks but it beats the alternative. I just try and have fun when i can and working on these things is fun for me.
I had an '85 CJ and loved working on that as much as playing with it. The Tacoma has been the first IFS i have worked on but it is pretty simple and fun. Suspensions for your truck are easily found and installed but you know that. The fella I deal with for armor makes some really nice stuff for...
Thanks I have run out of switch blanks so I am going to have to figure out something if I add the lights to the roof rack. I am planning on installing the rack this weekend if i can get all these leaves clleaned up
I was a body man / welder fabricator for over 30 years. welding takes practice and it doesn't hurt to have some one experienced looking over your shoulder and helping out. The beauty of it is if you mess up cut it or grind it out and fix it.
I hadn't heard of the painless one only Blue Sea and SPOD I will have to look into this. I used painless when I rewired the Camaro and it was complete and fairly self explanatory
I could weld and fab a lot of things. electrical? well i can do lighting fine but anything more complicated and i will have to turn to a prefabbed system. We all have our strengths but electrical isn't mine. i applaud you for being able to do so
