We've all been there.. We got that one cool gadget or attempted the latest and greatest mod that just didn't meet our expectations or work out as we planned. Over the years I've been subject to a good bit of that, mostly tied to my youth (at least I'll pretend that was the reason ).
I...
I'm running these on my daily driver right now. I needed new tires and the deal was just too good to pass up/ They seem to be wearing well after about 10,000 miles. I've only had them on the street, dirt roads, and a little mud, and can also attest to their abilities in the mud
Another vote for the BFG All terrains. I've run them on many different vehicles over the past 25ish years, and I absolutely love them. They wear like iron on the lighter stuff I've run them on (Jeep, Ranger pickup, Explorer, and Suzuki Samurai), and they don't have the road noise issues I've had...
I agree with this...I prefer black text on a white background. I stare at a screen all day, and there's just something about white text on a dark background that bugs my eyes out. Beyond that, I do like the new theme
Fixed my defrost by replacing the ducting that had been removed many moons ago. I've subsequently found that the stereo I painstakingly wired in place no longer fits  At least now I'll be able to drive it when there's frost on the window. Good times!
Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with alternatives to traditional stereos. I've been fixing issues with my rig, and while I had thought I could re-use my daughters old stereo, I found that it interferes with the defroster duct. That probably explains why the defroster never...
Following along with the build. I've been following along with the journey for quite some time now  Jade will be far happier when all is said and done, I'm sure.
I should have known that. My parents and niece both drive one, even though they don't look anywhere near that outstanding. I think it was the quick glance that made me thing of the later model KK. Thanks for responding!
Went through and greased all the zerk fittings, and drove it for the first time since I replaced the motor and transmission mounts. Some strange squeaks are gone, and it actually shakes less than it did before I put the bombproof mounts on, which was unexpected. All in all I'm super pleased with...
Because I was a kid and it was cool
It really was that simple, and now I'm so tied to it, I just can't imagine not having / using it. Is it the perfect platform? Unlikely. Does it do what it needs to do? It will when I'm done with it.
Quite some time ago i was 4 wheeling somewhere I shouldn't have been, and my clutch went out. One of my friends who was a novice mechanic said that an "e clip" had popped out of the mechanism, which I now know is called a bellcrank. We ended up using duct tape to get it out of where we were, and...
I got the opportunity to put in new motor and transmission mounts, and a new torque arm and bushings. Good times. Every fix gets me one step closer to being back on the road. Woohoo!
