HAM Radio Call Sign Check-In Thread

Hey there! I have net to make it to a club meeting. It keeps conflicting with school activities for my children. I seriously need to get out and learn some goodness. I'm such a novice, and totally need an Elmer  I've yet to actually transmit beyond a test.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I was finally able to order the new radiator and found a replacement under dash a/c unit. I may actually be able to take it out on the road in short order, and then if my luck holds out, I may have AC for the winter! WooHoo!

    '85 Jeep CJ7 - Let's get this party started

That's what I keep saying, but my daughter thinks she wants to drive this old rattle trap to school at the end of the year. I can sit in the garage and jam out, no need to go anywhere. Who am I kidding, I want to get it back on the road as bad as she wants to drive it  I'm with you...

    Alternative to traditional radio?

My wife ended up picking me up a bluetooth marine amplifier (Pyle) for Christmas as the price wasn't bad, and she figured if it doesn't work, I can put it in our boat. I finally got around to to trying to get it put in the Jeep, and so far so good. Pairing was easy, and the sound is about as...

    '85 Jeep CJ7 - Let's get this party started

It's been a while since I've had anything to add. The holidays had me put this on the back burner, and I'm still trying to catch up  The next big thing is still to get a new radiator so I can progress in road tests, etc. I did get a new bluetooth marine amp for Christmas to try and solve...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I was finally able to carve out some time to start creating and installing my audio solution for my Jeep. I've ran into some issues with stereos, and got this bluetooth marine amp for Christmas, and it should work no problem. I still have to finish wiring the aux fuse block with relay and...

    UNIT 9077 Reporting

Welcome! I find it awesome when someone keeps their first vehicle and makes it outstanding. I still have my first vehicle, also a Jeep (CJ7), and watched it go from stock to what it is today, including all the missteps and mistakes along the way. Awesome Grand! You've obviously put a lot of work...

That's similar to what I've been hearing. I still want to do what's opened once I'm back up and running. I'd like to check out some of those OHV parks, too. I need to get back to superlift in Hot Springs AR, too, so I can try the badge of honor stuff

Is this indicative of a bad fuel pump?

I went out to fire up the rig today, just to keep the fluids going while it's still not road worthy, and after cranking for a bit I realized there wasn't any fuel in the carb. It had been sitting for a couple of weeks, so that wasn't entirely unexpected. I put some gas in the carb, it fired up...

    Android App Issue

Good day all, I'm hoping someone may be able to help me out. I have a galaxy S7 edge, and I installed the Overland Bound app, but it's pretty much unusable. I'll attach two screenshots, but ultimately what's happening is that the app will load with some messages, but when I try to scroll, the...

    Hey there from beautiful Oklahoma

I have no idea who knows...lol...You get different answers depending on who you ask. I know at least a portion of it is open, so I'll start there and figure out the rest as I go

    Hey there from beautiful Oklahoma

You yota guys aren't so bad yourselves  I'm hoping to be ready for some trips shortly after the new year. There's a post about the K-Trail, which I hope to hit up, and I'm also hoping to get back out to the Superlift offroad park. I have fond memories of being out there.

    Hey there from beautiful Oklahoma

So true! I still make plenty of those mistakes, they're just new ones. I "learn the hard way" apparently. No problem for the likes. Your jeep rocks, and you give me plenty of inspiration as I readdress my own setup. Keep on posting the awesomeness!

Congrats! May's a great month. My wife and daughter are both May babies . I'll be getting back to work on my rig after the new year, so if I'm lucky I'll be ready by March. It's not like I have a ton to do, a new radiator and now it looks like a new fuel pump. I have a deadline of May...

Thanks for the link. Once I can get my rig back together and shook down, probably be spring before I'm done, I hope to head out there, at least for a day trip. I'll try to post up once I actually have a plan.

Our Family's Adventures - Overland Travel VLOG

As mentioned above, I'd be interested . I don't do youtube or any of that, but I'm a self-proclaimed geek, and enjoy that kind of stuff.
