Check for cancellations at the explorer cabins if they are full. They are phenomenal, truly. Right at the enterance of the park.

Suppose it depends what route you are planning on taking. When we stayed in Yellowstone we stayed in the explorer cabins and didnt camp. The wife still has limited desire for camping, so glamping when she can. Lots to see in the park if you havent been. I took my 2 little ones March last year...
Sounds reasonable. I saved for quite a while before biting the bullet on my suspension. Better to save for exactly what you want so you're happy in the end.
I've never been but there are tons of YouTube videos of the pass. I saw someone said a full size tundra would be fine but there was a small section that they could expect some pin striping. Looks pretty narrow to me I think I would pass on taking my F150.
Also my first event. I think we are headed down Thursday and going to stop in Sacramento then have an easy couple hours Friday to arrive by 3pm. I doubt our routes intersect but this is the way I'm headed.
My kids are out of school that week so I'm just making it a 4 day weekend. Be a long day going home Sunday if I have to work Monday so maybe 5 day weekend...
ZR2 gets my vote only because they seem super capable. Never driven one though as I love my full size. I know Tacomas are proven I just think they are past due for a powertrain update.
