Suggestions for secluded TRAILER camping locations NEAR MAX PATCH NC

Yeah, none of the satellite views are great. Look at the angle of the trees. I generally just pick an area and go wandering around. Gaia maps is clutch for that kind of stuff as well.

That's what Overland Bound is all about. Keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down!

Suggestions for secluded TRAILER camping locations NEAR MAX PATCH NC

Yeah that is Cold Springs. The sites are lower than the Harmon Den campground. There is one I've stayed at a few times pretty low down that has a nice little creek next to it, it is flat, and it's large enough we had 3 vehicles in there easy. It is at 35.75277, -82.99857. I have two others that...

Exit 7 off of I-40 is Harmon's Den. Head east and within the first 7 miles are dispersed sites scattered all along there. It is below Max Patch and those sites are used for equestrians as well so they are plenty big enough for a vehicle and trailer. Happy trails.

    Greetings from Sumter S.C.

Sparkleberry Swamp is in the house! Welcome to OB. I live in the upstate now but spent my youth kicking around that area.

To a degree. I didn't do the straight axle-back pipe option. It is no different than the sound of wind against the roof basket. When I took the stuff out of the spare tire area I put down some extra dynamat I had laying around, so that helps with some sound dampening. It was only 5 years ago...

Yeah, I was standing on it every chance I got while running errands after work yesterday. She sings for sure. The most satisfying is just the start up. It is very gratifying.

You're gonna have tell me what WOT stands for before I can answer that. Lol.

Yeah, it has 2½" strut top spacers and 2" subframe spacers back there. I read that in the reviews as well but these couldn't have been any simpler and fit perfect. Some WD40, a 14mm socket wrench and a set of channel lock pliers was all I needed. I had the whole process finished in a little over...

So I installed the axle-back exhaust from Nameless Performance with the 5" mufflers. It doesn't really add any performance to the car (other than shaving 20 lbs from the stock mufflers) but the sound... oh the glorious sound! It makes the flat six sound amazing.

Nevermind... I'm a little torn now. It looks like they have an eight week lead time on it. Less if I went with the full delete but I don't think I want to have it screaming all the time.

I upgraded my struts and springs but I probably could have waited a little while longer. I needed to upgrade the rear to account for the extra weight from the Wilco Hitchgate and fullsize spare plus I pull my fishing skiff with the car. I am pulling the trigger on the Nameless 5" muffler kit...

IMO you can't get any better than ADF. The guy who owns it, Patrick, is all-in and they have amazing customer service. I've even seen him chime in on random FB groups. If you go with the subframe spacers as well (highly recommended) just be ready to remove both mufflers on the 3.6 to get it...

I have the 245/65-17's on my '19 OB 3.6R Touring, but I have the 2"/2½" strut top spacers. Have you gotten into anything where you are stretching the suspension out? It looks good with all that tire stuffed up in there though.

Love the rig. I think I might have caught a glimpse at it when I was over in Greenville last weekend.

Great trip, great group of folks! Same great time, same great channel soon? After stuffing my bumper I am ready to get serious about finding a high clearance replacement!

I was planning on coming up on Saturday morning but after Jason guilt tripped about not coming on Friday I agreed w/ the caveat some terms are met since I’m probably going to be coming in after dark. 1.) Leaving the wagon in the park office parking lot isn’t going to be a problem. 2.) Jason is...

    Blueridge Overland Gear RTT Rally

Ah yes, the hobo sleeping at ground level as a peasant as the lords of car top tents gazed down on me from their perches. I'm kidding of course. I slept like a baby. A 200 pound, mid-30 year old, snores like a diesel underwater, baby. Good times. Good people. A lot of good jokes. I've got a...

Yup. I'm going to the Roof Top Tent Rally with Jason and Tom the weekend before who are representing at the BunduTec booth with their insane electric open/close RTT's... and I will be crashing it by having my own Earth Top Tent Rally (party of one) in the T3!

I have confirmed and even RSVP'd on the Rally Point. However, I don't have a campsite. I'm either going to have to piggyback on someone else's site or I'll be camping at a dispersed site nearby.
