Thanks for the info everyone. I like the explorer box but for probably a similar price I could get a basic Runaway trailer that can do the trick. I definitely do not have gobs of money to throw at a trailer as my wife and I just bought a house so that is why I am looking at cheaper and more...
Thanks for the info. As much as I like the idea of off-roading with the trailer I don't think I will do it much. Around me it seems that the majority of what's around is just easy to access campgrounds and such... That is why I was leaning towards a mostly street camper that I can tow behind...
I really like the look of the 5'x8' Hiker Trailers but I am wondering about how much it would cost to DIY one... I am pretty handy with most stuff but would definitely need help welding. Also, I am not sure what goes into registering a DIY trailer over buying one.

Thanks for the recommendation. It looks like both are around 1 hour from home for me but it's good to know I have some options. When is the next meetup? :)
We were just up in Cool Springs but we were renting an apartment. Bought a house down in SH and payments are less than our one bedroom apartment and I now have a garage to wrench in

Thank you for the recommendations! I'll have to start making a list!
Thanks for the feedback. Since this is a ways off I would love to see if other OB members want to tag along so that I am not off wheeling by myself. I'm not super worried in Moab as it is very popular, but Hole In The Rock seems about as remote as you can get. That's more of an overnight trip...
Links are weird on this site as of lately. I haven't had luck posting many... I have a Jeep TJ with a 2" lift on 31" BFG KO2s. I have a front locker and a Detroit TrueTrac. I feel she is a pretty capable vehicle and I am confident in my driving. I have done Gold Mountain up in Big Bear. I have...
