I didnt even think that would be an issue so I bought some cheap ones the first time.
flywheel is fine thank God. was supposed to get new bolts yesterday but they got delayed. maybe get them by tonight.
Been having an issue with the starter not engaging. I think it's the aftermarket bolts I bought but I wont know until the OEM ones arrive. Its killing progress because I only get to work on the truck about once every other week.
all that is left is pulling it out of the garage and buttoning her...
That sounds nasty in an e46, had a 5sdp e46 I absolutely loved. Got me through college.
Well I hope it works well. Getting the driveshaft built tomorrow so hopefully driving it by this weekend. Gonna be wierd without the old 90hp motor lol
Got her running and idling today, as well as both the ps cooler and the trans cooler mounted. Couple more wires to clean up then going to plumb the exhaust.
Not sure whether to dump it before or after the rear wheels. Any suggestions would be appreciated
So after about a year long hiatus i am finally able to work on my montero again. Life has a way of choosing my priorities for me lol
So jumping back in wasnt too bad, forgot a couple things which set me back a couple weeks but nothing major.
I got my custom made radiator after a very long wait...
Porkchop paella
So easy to make and so damn good. Cooked over a single Coleman burner in a simple paella pan and easy ingredients.
Throw peppers, onions, garlic and whatever else you like. Brown the pork or beef or bacon then add some rice. 20 mins and you have a super easy dinner.
Goes...
Finally got to the garage yesterday, got the fuel lines done. 1 more wire and the fuel system is done.
Going to finish up the power steering lines next time I get there.
More importantly though, I got the front axle for the solid axle swap!
It's a 79 dana 44 Hp with reverse cut gears
I haven't seen many other 1st gen builds either man, kinda sad lol. I toyed with the idea of turboing the stock 6g but ended up getting a stellar deal on the suburban.
The 6g is wildly underrated, really is a little brute.
